Default input method

Is there any way to set the default method for entering text? I want to set my Jam up so that whenever I open the messaging program it goes straight to the T9 input method, regardless of what has been used for entering text in the past

I think tweaks2k and possibly cetuner allow you to change the default SIP.

Thanks for that. I'm interested in your idea on one of your numerous other threads regarding mapping a hardware button that will cycle between the various methods. Thats exactly what I'm after so I'll wait and see how that pans out.

I've got an idea for a major PPC mod, but that's going to take some hacking. But I quite like the idea of the rolling sip menu, so I'll try to get it out first.
