hi guys I've just got my first XDA and wanted to ask a quick question about upgrading.

i'm running ROM 1.11.00 WWE
RADIO 1.00.00

do i need to upgrade? where from? and how?

There are currently 2 upgrades availabl.e You can upgrade from the following link.

Date: 01/27/05
ROM version: 1.11.00 WWE

ExtROM version: 1.11.144 WWE
Prot. version: 1337.42
Radio version: 1.03.00
ROM version: 1.11.00 WWE

Then use winrar or winzip to open

I use the latest cooked 02 Rom which has been modified to include Radio ver 1.03. You can download this from the xda-developers FTP. After install and it re-boots, select corp install, enter code 0506 within 3 seconds, the corp ver doesn't install 02 Active UI stuff. To automatically install your Mobile Operater Settings, goto this link. http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=26463 Download the correct cab, copy to your pda, tap to install GPRS/WAP/MMS.

Sorry, I didn't realise that you were not from the Uk, if you do install corp mode, let me know your Mobile operator and I will try to locate the correct cab file to install your GPRS/WAP/MMS for you and I will upload it to the link in my previous post. :lol:

Hi Dhruv,
I've downloaded both files and run the upgrade. Unfortauntely, it fails at the verification stage where it halts with:-

Error 120:- Country ID Error

Any help?
The reasons why I am upgrading is the phone does not RING when it receives incoming calls. I need to do a soft-reset for it to work. However, after a while, the stupid phone become mute.

I am sick and tired of this buggy unit.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Slash, have finally upgraded my 2i uisng the modified ROM update at the FTP site.

You are right. Need to run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe one more time.

Have also solved my "no-ring" tone problem. Apparently it is caused by the Wisbar utility programs that I've installed.

ExtROM version: 1.11.153 Arabic
I download from I mate site:
PDA2_ITA_11104_152_10300_ship.exe and discover that i can't upgrade in italian language. why? copyright of distribution! may-be! no reply from support I-mat.
all guys U believe that runnig one time MaUpgradeUT_NoID.exe I can able to install:
ROM version: 1.11.04 ITA
ROM date: 01/31/05
Radio version: 1.11.00
Protocol version 1337.42
ExtROM version: 1.11.152 ITA
and all next italian updating?
