Did anyone make visualble the Extended ROM of Jasjar?

I can't do that yet!

I don't think that JasJar have an extended ROM,since it's got Magneto as the original operating system...This means that it uses the ROM chips for 2 purposes:operating system,and the rest as storage since it's got persistent memory...
Am using Magneto on my Himalaya since the beginning,and never had an extended ROM...unlike SE I used to have on my device...

Do u mean u have ms_.nbf on Himalaya running Magneto,or u mean by extended ROM the 15 MB that became storage now..?
Concerning the installation of cab files on JasJar,do u think it's the 2577 folder method that M$ use,or u think that it has an extended ROM that u can install by flashing like ms_.nbf...?

Then probably ur right...and JasJar have extended ROM hidden out there in ROM,that runs the cabs after hard reset... :?

Ok, so if you see the installs start after a hard reset, can you soft-reset before it kicks in and avoid the operator-spam programs being installed? Or is there anything vital in there which means you have to take the branding?

based on HTC Universal WIKI (by itsme) their is 10MB in Universal for Extended_ROM ..

can you export your Registry please and if possible make a full rom backup using this command

Btw the EXT ROM cab files from the JasJar would probably be very useful for Himalayas and Blue Angels!

the dump.bin doesnt entirely get wat we expected .. but its okih maybe it has different physical address since it has totally new different spec than old devices .. :)
can you try the other image dumper by mamaich (try to set it to 128 MB)

:) btw unlike the HIMALAYA MAGNETO i think it will hard reset your device if you press those three buttons but im not really sure .. :)

but errors came for both command
*didnt happen hard reset aftre came back from bootloader

i could see ExtROm with Total Comander<Mr,Mamaich told me this way.

But i couldnt copy to any other folder yet, even change attributes.

for your refference. i think not so many cabs and not interesting one.

as a ROM/RAM dumper.
HaRET will tell a lot of other useful information:

and type pass name as Extended_Rom,

You can see the Cabs on Extended rom.
and Copy paste tothe folder as your like.

If files are Locked, you can change their Attirbes by Propaty comand.

Then still cant copy, use the Unlock comand of ExtRom Unlocker for Himalaya 5.0.

After soft reset, start Total comander again and open the Ext files
with same way as above.

I have the JASJAS and I installed the Total Commander but I still can not see the Extended ROM... Where to write the Pass ?

Now i got more simple way to unlock extended ROM,

1;Make a Hard reset wirh "Clear Memory" program, or both 2 Menu Key+Stylus.

2;After finish initializing stylus alliance, Make a soft reset with Stylus again before begin Eextended ROM files install.

This action make Unlock the Extended ROM with out using Unlocker.
But not visualble.

3:Then install Total Commander and Start it.

4;You can type the File path "Extended_Rom" onto the blank line.

5;Select the CAB files you wan to copy, then use COPY command,
then past to the path you want to.

This is easier!

That was the all i can do now.

@Even used to try many of Unhide Tools, i could not make it visuable&acceable with File Exlpore,yet.

i can not write a programs by myself :cry:

i also want to have anoter Storage Space or more Storage memory,
just around 30MB can be used install applis.

I think this system of OS memory was so suck! :evil:

I've played a bit with Himalaya registry settings and trueffs.dll driver and made a CAB that would unhide "Extended_ROM" folder and make it fully accessible.
Use this CAB at your own risk as it is not heavily tested.

i try this Unlocker, the Ext ROM of Jasjar was unlocked.
But not vuisable.

@install this cab,then make soft reset.
@Star total commander and Typ the Path "Extended_ROM"
@now you can copy their files in Ext ROM.

I have been able to see it with Total Commander, I can then uncheck "Read Only" and delete, but I don't think they are really deleted, or I certainly do not gain any memory?

Sorry but the unlock program can't found. I have the ExtRom programs. Do U have an unlock program with I can delete some files from my jasjar extrom? Other question. The RAM without install any program is just 28 Mb. Who reserserve it, and how can i free some for my programs, because if I am running a navigaton software it's too few.
Do U know any program with I can backup full of my Jasjar because it's missing from this one.

Buzz, can you format the extrom into working storage on Universal like you did on hima?

what vesion did you get Buzz, I guess you will do all your rom hacking on basic jasjar rom not xda or mda rom?

anyway, I'm not in a rush its such a great phone and Buzz deserves a rest and time to enjoy it too!

If you want to cook your own ExtRom which file needs editing to command the execution of the cab.files.
What does install_tsk, setup, autorun each do. How can you open them on your PC. :)
