Let's work for the Smart Dialer for WM5.0

i posted following comments in Buzz net, but till today, nobody replayed so i will addaped it here again, sorry Buzz!

I need Smat Dialer on Himlaya WM5.0

Any way, itried to make CAB of Smardialing with Universal Jasjar Rom files.

But still not worked on Himalaya.

1;Jasjar was included Video Call functions.
How to remake to Himalaya??

2;SmartDialer for WM5.0, some dll whiched used on Smart Dialer on WM2003,were not found in the ROM files.

Those three dll,

*iacontacts.dll
*DisplayCID.dll
*ContactsSDK.dll
i am not sure it doesnt need those, or other dll can be taken instead of them.

So i uploaded cab i made, and Files i used in CAB, also registry file. ples dont foreget, this was not workin yet.

i uploaded all dumed files from Jasjar, if you need more infromation from that, you can DL.

It works the only problem is the huge resources since they are made to work with vga device, and replacing the resource doesn't resolve the thing because the dll's are made by fixed screen coordinates, so replacing the .jpg files only doesn't work...

I have Wizard with Smart Dialer, I am working on localization so that you can use accented charactes (any UNICODE chars) to dial. I can contribute to this forum. Smart Dialer on Wizard is embedded in the system.

But after i found file named "SmartDialing_enable_0915_signed.CAB" from FTP site, it's only contain XML code and it related with Intelidial.dll but i can found that intellidial thing on that Extended Rom.... :?: or maybe it's already on windows directory before u installed and all u have to do just activated with "SmartDialing_enable_0915_signed.CAB" ... :roll: :?: :?: :?:

I recently upgraded to the prophet. There is smart dialing available. But it seems the prog is embedded in the OS, or maybe another hidden extrom?

I unlocked my extrom and it is listed as Extrom2. This is about 10MB. The files in Extrom2 are mostly autoconfig cabs for all the different telcos. Plus voice commander & several customization cabs. Only a 70K cab smart-dialing enable cab, no other smart dialing cabs.

the dopod pro has 47+MB storage space available plus the 10mb extrom1 is only 57MB. Plus the WM5.0 OS, which is about 32MB gives 89MB. Where is the rest? We have 128MB ROM. Eten M600 has 80+MB available space. I'm missing about 39MB somewhere. Could it be there's an ExtRom 1? Any gurus can shed some light here? If anyone can help, I'd be glad to post the smartdialling cab here

I finally got this working. Should work on all WM5 devices. It is a .cab to install Smartdialing on WM5 devices.

i think the problem is phcanhtc.dll file missing, this RevisedSmartDialingWM5(Sprint)noHTCnoSkins.cab use PhoneCanvas.dll for Spint only not form HTC.

so any one have this phcanhtc.dll for Qvga HTC device...? :roll:

i have 1 but for jasjar VGA device... :(

Here is the generic phcanhtc.dll. This will work too. It may change your 3G signal icons, Sprint made a "PhoneCanvas.dll" to have EV-DO icons.

You should drop this in windows and change reg key to:
\HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin\
"ext"="phcanhtc.dll"
