Just bought a Jabra BT250v headset for my PDA2. I have gone through the pairing process with both the PDA2 & Jabra indicating success. When I make or answer a call, the PDA2 shows the headset connected and the Jabra connects, but all I hear is dead air - nothing else. No help from Club I-mate. I have contacted Jabra & they have no reports of issues & suggested I exchange headset (in process). Does anyone have info on this? Thanks

Hi,
I have XDAIIi with Jabra 250v and it works fine when I recieve a call I press the button on the 250v to answer. If I am listening to music I can press the button to transfer all PDA sound to 250v
Have you tried to delete and re-pair to pda?
Otherwise I'd take it back.

Ps.
another headset to look out for is the new Sony ericsson HBH-610, if you do take your Jabra 250v back. :D

HI All,
Well they sent me another to try and it is the same. I need one that stays on really well as I am a handyman and get my head into some funky positions.
Here is what club i-mate told me about the Jabra:
Dear Sir,
Thank you for writing in again and for the information you provided."With regards to your issue, I am sorry to inform you that there might be some incompatibility issue with your headset that’s why you were experiencing the same. Please make sure that the Bluetooth version of the Bluetooth headset is Version 1.1 or higher, and supports ‘Headset/Hands free’ profile. Please also note that certain models may or may not be compatible and hence you should first check with the vendor for the compatibility, you can try the following brands/models: Cellink (BTHS 6023), Sony Ericsson HBH 65, Motorola 810 headset."
Thank you all for your advice and I will continue searching for my headset.

I had a similar problem with my BT250. It can be connected and on standby. If it is on standby you need to press the answer button on the BT250 to take it out of standby mode, even though you can hear the ringing in the ear-piece.
If you press the answer button when there is no call it switches in and out of standby. The headset icon on the display changes accordingly.

I have read through the threads regarding this subject and have to say that I have experienced no such problems at all with either of the two Jabra versions. I have changed to the BT 250 V as it has the vibration mode as I hate to have the thing on my ear the whole time. Sometimes I think people look like something out of Star Trek. However as I say I have not experienced any suck problems with either of the devices. One thing I do always ensure is that both the PDA and the headset are fully charged. I also use the PDA in conjunction with a Mouse and Bluetooth keyboard (from thinkoutside), all seamlessly work together. I have written an article for a magazine here in Oman which you might find of interest. Go to www.digitaloman.gov.om the article is entitled how to lose 12 kilo's in 15 minutes. Regards.
