XDA II Backpack and external touchscreens

Could anyone tell me whether the Backpack for the XDA II can be used
with an external touchscreen so that the external touchscreen can be used to access all the functions of the xda using its screen? (i.e
go into the phone dialler and place a call using the external touchscreen)
Or is this feature limited to display only; so that the touchscreen of the xda itself would still have to be used to control what appeared on the external display :?:

touch screens for computers have a plug for the visual
and a usb or serial connector which makes the touch
work kinda like a mouse
so the normal connector on the backpack will not enable you
to get the touch part working
and since the xda dont do usb host it would not work with an usb touch connector maybe a serial one if you changed the connector
and wrote or got hold of a driver for the xda which worked with it
