View Full Version : XDA IIs will not power on (unless I hard reset)

Hello everyone,
I seem to have a problem which it doesn't appear that anyone else has had before.
The end result is that I have a PDA which works fine until I press the power button to turn it off. If I turn it straight back on, then it's ok, but if I leave it turned off for more than a minute or so, then it won't turn back on. The only sign of life is a flashing green LED.
Once this has happened, a soft-reset will just hang up, so my only course of action is a hard reset - this gets things going again - at least until the next time my PDA powers off! Since I can't keep my XDA turned on 24 hours a day, this is a bit of a problem. :?

This has only started happing since I upgraded my PDA to the latest ROM version.
Basically, I was having problems with Bluetooth on my XDA IIs, so I tried applying the bluetooth patch to my XDA to start with. This didn't seem to help so I went with the latest I-Mate ROM version. The upgrade process seemed to all go to plan, until I turned my PDA off - that's when I noticed that I couldn't turn it back on.

I've even tried re-flashing back to the ROM I had on my XDA before, but I still get the same problem whenever my PDA is powered off.
(Strangely, if my XDA is charging, I can leave it turned off for any amount of time without getting the problem)

Basically I'm left with a completely useless XDA.
Please help!

Cheers,
Steve

Please can somebody help?
Is there anything else I can change in the ROM to ensure that I'm definately putting my XDA back to a totally default configuration when?
