I've read about this in wiki, and have switched off all the sounds but still doesn't help. I just have to wait for about 5 to 10 seconds before it opens any applications or open start menu. Would overclocking help? Or is there a solution without the need to turn off all the sound notifications?
The last thing I want to do is to downgrade cos I love the new interface, but it's not behaving well at the moment...

Hi, did you try to disable the system sounds ?

My BA also needs about 10 sec to "really wake up" after pressing the power button... I can live with it, though.

Do you have pocket plus installed? If so try disabling the Today plug for it, this solved the problem for me!

Disable everything that shows on today screen the status of your SD card. That's the problem!
