As the title says really...

I have an I-mate SP3 being used as part of a project at work, and we need to know whether we can use it in Chicago. We will be using GPRS mainly.

The phone is currently in the UK, and with a UK provider, so I understand I will have to contact them in order to use it abroad, but my main question was whether the hardware was compatible.

Thanks for any help.

Cheers,

Simon.

Simon,

The SP3 will work in Chicago. Your SP3 is a 900/1800/1900 Mhz (triband) phone. In the US we are on 850/1900, larger cities are mostly covered by 1900 Mhz.

Prior to my current phone I had a Qtek 8010 that had the same bands as your SP3, I have had no trouble in Chicago.

Good luck!

Rob
