Hi ,

Im having probs after installing AS4.0 / 4.1 It insalls fine but when I connect via USB I get this error.

STOP 0x0000000a (0x002effd0,0x00000002,0x00000000,0x80500b3a)

I'm running XP proffessional SP2 and am up to date with fixes etc. Funnily enough I don't get this error on my HP Laptop just my work thinkpad , oh and I tried it on my mates OQO and that bluescreens and restarts.

Is this a hardware fault even though it appears to work ok on the HP.

Hope you can help

Had a similar problem with my old computer.
Was told by Microsoft technical support that it was a driver problem but they could not specify the device that was given me the trouble.
Didn't remedy the problem as it was only a Duron 800 which is now in the bin, lol.

Hope this could be of some help......

I had this problem once with a new build PC but this was due
to bad memory timing settings in the BIOS.
It had nothing to do with anything else.
Is your PC overclocked?

Hi , no it's not overclocked. I spent the good part of yesterday disabling cache etc , but still gives the error. I am wondering if it could be a Hardware problem on the PC or on the USB side of the device. It works with activesync via infra red .

Cheers

stability issue with the USB stack, if you can change drivers to "something else" in Device manager then do so.

Thanks Oli,

Sorry I am a bit technical but when you mean change them to something else in the device manager do you mean move them or remove some other drivers using the device manager and then reinstall ?

Desperate now :o)
