Is there anyway or program I could use to backup all my settings on my universal so after a rom update i could easily get all of my settings back quickly. Personal settings for today screen, owner info., email settings, etc?

TIA

So far there is no prog available yet to do the complete back up... If you going to do update you better do all the precautions...

I wish M$ makes updates like we install in Windows Desktop Sevice pack just update the files instead reinstalling the whole thing...

but that would eat up the storage memory, flashing dosent but at the price of personalising

talking about storage, how is it that new devices like palm have now 4 GB of storage memory and pocketpc's are still in the prehistory of storage with puny 128 MB's? Surely the technology is there why don't the oem's just use it

Because Palm have just bolted on a hard drive. Can't say I think that's a particularly useful feature really, especially as you can now get Microdrives for (a lot of PPC's) CF slots, and SD capacity is getting bigger and bigger.

Depends on what you're using your device for really. I'm sure there'll be a PPC with 4Gb of storage 'out of the box' before long, but that wouldn't exactly excite me.

The prob with these devices are like they dont well together with programs installed in Memory card, while it works fine with the prog you installed on Device.... So doesnt matter how much big memory card u have it pluged in ur device still its going to be like data backup storage not as part of system..

First I was soo excited about Universal and lately started feeling I paid too much for nothing... How about u all?..
