Which registry key do I have to change to make an extra mode available in the camera, for the contact's photo?

Same as wm2003
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Camera\AppDefSetti ngs\P4]
"Enable" Set to 1 to enable and 0 to disable.
