Hope someone can help with registry settings:
I installed WebIS mail, then de-installed. Now when I use PocketPlus "New Message" command nothing happens. Before this, I used to get a prompt from the default messanger client asking what account (text, pop, etc) I wanted to use, and then my mail would start.
Some more info:
- PocketPlus 'NewMessage' fires up the following shortcut:
"ActionSender.exe" -key PLUSACTION{0025|0000} {B035EEBF-99B7-4ec2-ACBA-0F13B5860510}
- The last key above is found in the registry under ..local_machine\software\Microsoft\Shell\Extension s\NewMenu
- This key has only 2 pieces of data:
(Default): Message
Enabled: 1
- It is also found under hkey_classes_root\CLSID and here things are more interesting: The (default) value is "WebIS Mail New Menu Extension", and teh InProceServer32 key points to \Windows\wismlnew.dll. Thus, WebIS has left behind this key, and the dll (yes, it's there in Windows)
- FURTHER, under hkey_classes_root\emlfile\Shell\Open\Command I have a key (Default) with value "\....Mail\wismail.exe". HELL, WebIS has left behind so much crap it's criminal!!!
- Ditto for mailto\Shell\Open
So, basically I need to know how to fix the stuffed key so that my 'New' Menu knows where to go, else fix the shortcut to point to another registry entry that will fire up a new message with a list of available accounts (ie as it used to).
ANy help would be MUCH appreciated...
