New ROM Versions available???

Browsing the clubimate ftp server i found those to ROMs:
Maybe they are new, cause the date is from 4. Oct. 2005.......
KJAM_Arabic_ROM_1010903_103_10110_cdl_me_ship.exe
KJAM_WWE_ROM_1010903_104_10110_cdl_wwe_ship.exe

Im guessing the "_ship" part means thats what was shipped with the device.

Most of the available ROMs on the ftp contains the _ship. So i do not believe that it is the original ROM.

But users of the wizards could easily compare it. So this posting was just informatial......

Up to now only the WWE edition is going to be available here.
The question is: is possible/easy to upgrade the rom with a Italian one?
Will the localized Italian rom be updated as frequently as the WWE will?

Ah, another one: the Italian version will have a italian keyboard?

I have downloaded this ship rom and ran the installer to confirm the version. I got a really strange result that maybe others can tell me what they mean.

On the final confirmation screen before starting the rom update process it states that it is upgrading to model id of Prodigy with Image version 09.
What the heck is this, a beta pre-ship release maybe? The attached image clearly shows a picture of the wizard device so i'm wondering what imate are doing.

Needless to say, there's no way i was going to press next and actually install it as i wouldn't want to risk ending up with a 2 day old paperweight :wink:

Sure. You can use K-Jam or QTek9100 rom on Dopod 838.
Unlocked it first. Backup your original rom with "r2sd all" command.
And try to upgrade with K-Jam or Qtek9100 rom.

Guys, does anyone know when we will see a Rom Update for the Wizard. What about the Microsoft Service Pack for WM5. Isn't it still not ready?

Nope. actually only a Beta Version available.

However the final one will come out at the end of this month or beginning of next month.

From a MS side it is RTM. Now the Hardware guys need to implement them in there ROMS
