BEfore you kill me, Yes I wnet trough the FAQ-s, but as BA is over 1 year old, I guess most of the info is too current.

Anyway, to be on the safe side, I would like to ask two questions.

1.) What is thew Best/most Stable english Rom currently for BA, if combination which Ext-rom, radio-rom, rom?
My priority is:
Very good Bluetooth (as I will have more than 1 BT headset paired, and GPSis also Bt)

2.) THis might sound a little stupid: I currently have MDAII, so I just have to backup PIM(phone no. and appointment) and save if on SD and my new BA would restore fine?

THx a million

Don't feel bad but if you read the posts you would see the BA has had horrible BT problems. I'd poke around some more.

OMG:( I do feel bad, I just bought the BA 4 hours ago (am still at work so, have not yet tried it out).

And I got it for 2 reasons (I've had MDAII for 2 years, and was satisfied till now):

1). I like new stuff:)

2.) I got a bike and with that I needed a helmet and because of that I got a Helmet Bt headset (this is fixed stationary on the helmet). But with the MDII I could not configure for 2 two Bt headsets (it paired both but only one would works, that is always the second one in respect to pairng. When I got on the bike I hade to re-pair the headset on the helmet (Cardo scaler) and when I got of I had to re-pair the other (Logitech). Someone told me that with the MDAIII you had the option to have to headsets installed and select with you prefared to use with the stylus in some settings area.
I hope to god that he didn't make it up, cause I would kill myself. But plz correct me if its not so....

P.S: i wouldn't mind an answer to my second question too, about the xbackup thing for PIM data.

I would recommend either the QTEK or imate 1.40 ROMs with Radio 1.13. Bluetooth is just about usable - apart from audio quality of Bluetooth, I like my BAs (both of them).

thx, then I'll go with i-mate.

BTW any info on the back up thing?? it seems so simple that no one wants to answer.

I dont want to install outlook just to be able to tranfer my contacts and appointments for the old device to the new one.

P.S: do you have any info with regardds to the dual headset support thing?

I dont think you can use your current PDA proprietary pim backup software to save your contacts, etc. Are you syncing with your PC? If so, when you have your new device, just establish a partnership and you'll be good to go.

I use sprite for full system level backups, but I don't know how you'd use this for just transfering contacts etc. I use outlook at work & home so its not an issue for me - I just make sure I set up activsync so that I DO NOT sync my inbox

Do I need any extra patches, or are all those listed in the cooked ext-rom section included in the i-mate 1.40? (example Wireless manager fix...etc.)

Latest stable english rom you can flash your device with, its 1.40.00 ASIAN o2 WWE, you can flash it but you need the noID file, which is also included, I've wrote a tutorial on the installation in the wiki too on that site, go check. :)
