I followed this topic to upgrade my pocket PC and now my XDA IIs is total unusable. I took the first step is to download the Active Sync 4.0 and the "Version 5.1.1700 Build 14343 - Patched by Mamaich V3", but as the the poster said there are these folders inside the "Version 5.1.1700 Build 14343 - Patched by Mamaich V3"
. Downgrade to WM2003SE
. PH20B
. PH20B1
. Preparation
. WM5_mamaich_patched
but actually i dont see any folder in the RAR file and i only see these files:
. BaUpgradeUt
. GetDeviceData
. EnterBL
. HTCRUU.conf
. HTCRUU.dll
. nk.nbf
i don't know what the hell is these, so i just tried to run a file, see what happen, i executed the "BaUpgradeUt.exe", and it asked me to update new version to my pocket pc, i clicked "yes", then after few second my pocket pc was suddenly disconnected and the screen showed "Serial 2.06" in black color text on white background, after that i have no control to my pocket PC, i can't off, i can't either hard reset or soft reset. I don't know what to do.
Anybody has any idea how this happen and how to fix it, I bought it in Singapore, and now I am staying in USA, there is no O2 service center around, what can i do??????

you are in the bootloader, this is the part were the upgrade process really happens, did you try to remove the battery to reset the unit?, I have sucessfully updated my rom with that latest patch, mamaich must have not included the previous files from the previous patches, that's why you didn't see any other files, but the files contained in the rar are the actuall rom updates, when you were upgrading did it show like 1% complete or something?, and when it entered bootloader mode did you suddenly remove the device from the cradle?, btw, your cradle is connected to the usb port of your pc right?, try to repeat the upgrade process, there are instructions in the wiki incase of a failed upgrade or downgrade, search the forums, but my suggestion is if you didnt have any idea at start of what you are doing you should have research first to avoid your predicament, but I suggest you not to worry, I think the upgrade process was just interupted :)

Hi,
I have to say, I've read the Wiki and I didn't bother trying the upgrade, mainly because the file list doesn't look anything like it should. Tried downloading the v2 patch also, but to no avail. Are we missing something?
Cheers

Don't panic.
I've got the same. The whole sunday w pizdu.
My Qtec is alive.
Make sure ActiveSync is working. It will not connect with MDA, but it is required.
Try:
Camera+powerOn+reset, then
simply reset, then
remove battery, then
insert battery, then
simply reset again
then put MDA into the craddle
[MDA display should change from "Serial" into "USB", activeSync still is not connected]
run BaUpgradeUt
1 minut later you will get big window, with some info about MDA. Press next.
I have tried dosens of combinations of steps above and one of them was good enough. I'm not sure which one.
