Hi,

I was wondering if there was a way of removing the O2Active link next to the start menu - I don't want to go doing a hard reset because I am not a particularly competent user and don't want to get out of my depth.

I managed to restart in safe mode (done with a program) then remove the O2Active part from the today screen at the top, but can't seem to find out how to remove the link that sits next to the start button - its the only trace remaining that annoys me.

Can anyone perhaps advise me on how to do this? More info available on request.

I went to Start->Settings->Remove Program, and removed it there (V2R something - I don't remember what it wass called). Mind you, if you do a hard-reset again, it'll auto-install again

I don't mind about that, I don't plan to hard-reset. However, I did wonder if it perhaps included some other things which I DO use - such as the battery meters or something? I am not sure.

Can't help you there, I'm afraid. I only got the XDAII today, and didn't like or want the O2Active thing, so I just went and uninstalled.

Possibly I don't know what I'm missing - but ignorance is bliss!
