Autocorrect Text - Can I tweak it?

My XDAIIi has an English ROM, but I text a lot in Italian.

It keeps on changing 'il' to 'I'll' - and it's driving me nuts! :-)

Is there anyway I can stop it doing this?

Any help would be appreciated!

go to start -> setting -> Input
then tap in "word Completion" and then uncheck the last one "Replace text as you type".

and then try to type "il"...!
