Mail O2 for Magician WM5

one of our xda_india group member received a mail from O2 stating they would consider it based on sufficient user demand. Here is the mail excerpts :-

Once windows 5 is out in the market does O2 have any plans to provide the update for its customers?

Response from O2 on this:-
There are no firm plans as yet to offer this particular upgrade to
customers of existing Xda devices, but we are studying market demand
for this platform, and we will certainly consider offering it in the
future if there are sufficient requests for it from our customers.

maybe they just didn't hear our cries here as yet..! ;)

It's not going to happen.

Besides, O2 are not resonsible for putting WM5 on the device (if it was to happen) but HTC are. The only things O2 put on it are some of the applets in the extended ROM.

Well, I guess this is just another example of an incompetent support worker not knowing what the heck he is talking about, but still try to give a positive respons. Unless, that is, they got a copy of Raptorz 'WM5' and got fooled too :P

With regard to your query below, XdaIImini current Operating System is Microsoft Mobile 2003 Second Edition. O2 Asia has not release any plans with regard to upgrading the Operating System to WM2005. Thank you.
