upgraded my BA to wm2005, now when I play movies (mpeg 1s and divxs) in TCPMP, I get freezing every now and then.

I have two BAs in my possesion at this time, one with 2003, one with 2005, both with the same version (latest stable) of TCPMP. I can use the same SD card in both with an avi or mpg on it and I get the freezing problem and audio going out of sync on the BA with 2005 but not on the BA with 2003.

Now I have heard that there are issues with the sound in wm5 that may be causing this, can anyone shed any light on this and whether there may be a fix soon ?

TIA

maybe you have overclocker installed. Remove it.

I certainly didn't install one. Unless it came with one of the files on the BA WM5 installing page ( http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_5.1.1700_build_14343_Upgrade ) then I didn't - If I install just the stuff from that page + TCPMP then it still happens.

So you are saying movies play fine for you using TCPMP (version 0.66) under WM5 ( ba_wm5_patch3.rar ) ?

Post installation, make sure you tick the "Higher Priority for audio media"

Works like a charm for me, except for the occasional and random reset of the tick. Chalking down to the volatile memory in Windows 2005

initial tests seem to indicate an improvement.
Will investigate more on the train home tonight ;)

I also made a post on corecodec.org, though as I posted there, I suspected windows not TCPMP: http://www.corecodec.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=29&expv=0&topic=2019.0
