Hi all.

I was wondering whether it's possible to upgrade VGA camera models (like BlueAngel) with 1.3Mp camera.

I need to do some research in it. I believe, that there is a chance that both camera types used by HTC are in the same package type (notice Himalaya - Alpine migration).

The CMOS camera used in BA is Agilent ADCM-2650.
I can't find any info, what type of sensors are fitted in 1.3Mp devices (like Universal or Wizard). That is the point where I need your help.

Changing software to support another cam wouldn't be so hard I think.
We'd need files from 1.3Mp device and possibly, modify hardware address of cam's parallel port (CCIR - 656).

well the leg placement need to be the same
the interface electronical needs to be the same
the driver needs to be changed and it's in the rom i believe

not to mention imho then cmos cam's are poor quality no matter how high MP they have more pixels dont solve the wrongfull colouring and the sensitivness to light and lack of light
