I really don't like the fact the mini usb charges the JJ everytime I do a sync etc. My experience with lots of devices (other Smartphones and BT headsets) is that when the batteries are new you really don't want to charge the batteries for 5/10 min at a time (I know the theory around Lithium Ion batteries but theory and practice do vary and my experiments with two Nokia batteries in my Nok 9500 have proved me right). So is there a mini USB cable that allow one to switch off the charging or does WM5 allow this in s/w?

Hi

This is not my expirience, never had problems with my batteries on any of my pocket pc'es and they have been in the cradle when ever possible.

however if you want to avoid it, you might consider running activesync over bluetooth or bluetooth?

Yeh, got the BT working after a while. This is my best choice (no WiFi sync with AS 4/4.1)

My Treo 650 gives three days from the battery (my Nokia 9500 gives me over 2 days and it has wifi & BT) and it is on 24hrs a day and BT is on 10 hours a day. This is because I am very careful about how I look after my batteries in the first week or two.
