Failed attempt to upgrade ROM

Hello fellows ..

First time on this forum .. i usually stick to photography forums .. however fate brings me here :) ..

Noticed an announcement for update ROM for the XDA II, and tried to install it .. i have an XDA IIi , on O2 .. sim unlocked ... .. PDA was on cradle .. it asked for a confirmation .. i did a system reset as advised ... the Upgrade patch didnt give no error messages .. and seemed to be working OK, till it said that patch cant be applied ..for i dont know what reason ..

It seems my phone is left without a ROM now .. ( when i turn it on, it shows what U guys probably call a Bootloader , a screen saying version 1.02 or something , and if connected to USB, says USB ) .. but doesnt go anywhere from there ..

I tried installing XDA developers special ROm 1.2, but it doesnt seem to install .. Tried another ROM upgrade, but that requires ActiveSync, which doesnt obviously detect my phone any more

Can please tell me in steps .. 1, 2, 3, .. what do i do . . i know how to perform an appendicectomy but know very little about ROMS of phones ..

please kindly tell me .. what files to download, how to connect to ActiveSync if needed, i have a 128 MB card if needed, have teh USB cradle .. and have an O2 monthly SIM.

help here will be appreciated and remembered for a long time

Execute HimaGetDeviceData.exe on your device. There will be no visible indication that it has run, but it will produce a file called DeviceData.txt in the Windows folder of the device.

I UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE TO DO THIS ABOVE MENTIONED STEP

but how do i do it when my XDA wont start at all ???

XDA developers special ROm 1.2
if you have a himalaya device this rom is not for you
it's only for walaby devices
