Hi

Is there any way to remap the keys on the slide-out keyboard? I want a £ symbol, not the $ symbol, and to enter it I have to get the stylus out and use either the pop-up keyboard or transcriber.

Also, is there any way of choosing which symbols appear on the transcriber pop-up symbol bar, and remapping the stroke used in transcriber for inserting a space? I'm used to the P900 where a stroke left to right would enter a space, just as in the 'letter recogniser' input method under windows. Getting used to the down then across stroke is annoying.

Cheers

Z

There seems to be a method floating around here...

In the interim, assuming your not entering £ symbols constantly, the following keystrokes will get your desired output:
(DOT=bottom left key)

DOT <G> DOT <SPACE> DOT <SPACE>

Its very easy to get the £ on the Wizard. Just type a $ sign, then hold the dot and push the space bar twice. Viola!

Its weird how there are so many versions of HTC products that are all subtly different... on the O2 XDA Mini S you have both - the "$" is mapped to F, and "£" is the V key.

If that helps

(probably not)

For those having trouble working the Sym key (dot-letter-dotHold-Sym to cycle through alternatives), please keep in mind that it only works in certain applications. For example, it works fine in Pocket Word - but it doesn't work in the Notes application; on my Qtek9100 anyway :)
