Is there anyone who thinks WM2005 or 2003SE or any other flavor of windows mobile is just to insecure.

Windows mobile has a tendancy to display the last call as soon as you enter the phone application. It's just not discrete enough. In other words I dont want to constantly be displaying my call history to anyone who picks up my PDA

I think the phone fucntionality of windows ppc's suck quite frankly.

Even though the PDA's (take any one you like) are primary data centric devices they really could do a little more to add some more functionality to the very basic and standard phone that windows mobile provides.

In order to do anything remotely out of the ordinary you need to go digging for some application out there in cyberspace that someone has written simply to "say for instance" not display the last caller.

Personally as a mobile device MS needs to concentrate more on security. It took em a while to get rounbd to the OS level lets see how long it takes em to get round to the mobile platform. Or maybe John, Bill , Bob or Ted who all happen to be ex programmers can develop something for us.

A frustrated Cliff

I cannot agree with cpascal at all. You are talking about privacy, not security.

If you let someone else hold your phone, they might not see your latest caller, but also read your SMS!
I have tested it, works on WM2003SE and normal cellphones!

I would never share my phone with other people, usually they have their own phones. As I enter all my personal data in this device, why should a hand over my private diary to anyone else?

So if privacy is a matter, protect your device with a password. It is simple as that.

Very true, indeed...

Really, if you want to keep your data private (on any device), just don't share it with people, or use built-in password protection. It's as simple as that...
