activesync and get connected can not see my device

hi all, my xda 1 has stopped being seen by activesync and get connected, i keep getting the message that no compatiable device was detected, i have uninstalled sync and re installed, i have soft and hard reset my xda, i have gone back to activesync 3.5 and have still had no joy, i am connecting through usb/cradle, On the xda activesync tools menu under options it gives the option of "enable sync. when cradled using" and a drop down menu, when i go to this dropdown menu it gives me NO options at all, could this be the problem and if so how do i set it up.

any suggestions, ideas would be much appriciated.

I have the same problem had my XDA 1 in the drawer for months and have the Sepcial Edition ROM installed. 3.7.1 3.8 both give the same error.

Hi,

I had the same problem last week. Activesync suddenly stopped recognising the device. I restored the device to a previous state that activesync was working properly and it started working again. If you have a backup, you can use it or maybe hard reset the device. It is not a problem caused by activesync itself or windows because i tried all variations but only this was the solution. Hope it works for you too.

I have the wallaby bootloader and iti s not obvious how to do such a reset on it . Advice?
