Hi,
I tried and first thing, everything work now as fine as before so a first good point.
Second one problem : my Bluespoon AX is only recognize as a Hands-free and you can only set "Audio redirection" for Headset.
Perhaps some registry work ?
I will continue to investigate

INstalled it but I have no clue how to make it work. Been to the BT settings and everything is there but I have no clue to as it does not detect my my Jabra BT250V.
Will this work in actually turning my Jabra into an audio headset or is it only as phone headset?

Man, you seriously kick a$$! This cab adds A2DP, FTP (successfully sent a series of 3 files to my Magician   ), Audio Gateway (was able to use my laptop as a BT handsfree :D ), BT Printing Profile... AWESOME!!! Takes MS BT stack to a whole new level  :D

But you could already send files with activesync over bluetooth without this stack (do i suppose ftp service is the same thing). Btw can you acces the files located on your computer from your mini now??? (if yes plz tell me how)
As far as I am concerned, it works but doesn t change anything with my bluetooth headset and voice command, i always don t hear any voice command sound in my bt headset, but then I hear the phone conversation directly in the headset...so nothing has changed.
Would have loved so much to hear and launch voice commands directly from the headset's mic.
But thx anyway! that s a really good thing for us anyway =)

As per subject really...
Just tested this on my 1.12.00 T-Mobile Rom and indeed all audio is indeed being re-directed to my headset. Only 'drawback' is that I can't get it to work with PocketMind Pocket Music- the sound it just muted.
But it works perfectly well with Windows Media Player. Slight hitch with WMP is that I am unable to change the volume on the software or indeed the JAM system volume directly- a minor fault for me since I have a volume control my headset :P Also the music seems to cut out for a second or so every 7-8 seconds.
Music pauses and restarts when an incoming phone call is received.
A massive thanks goes out kevinyang6688. Cheers mate, I have been wanting this for ages! Thanks again!

sh500, which bt headset are you using?
Edit: I think i remember the same volume behaviour when i used an iTech BT stereo headset with my BA running WM2003SE. So BT audio streaming may actually be functioning properly. The pauses may be due to line of sight issues, try using them in direct line of sight and see if you still get dropouts.

I tried changing path into: \Storage Card\My Documents and \Sorage\ and many other things... nothing worked...
I couldn't test A2DP and other options yet...
I hope it does what it says...

Yep I've tried line of sight, even to the extreme of having both JAM and BT headset millimeters aparts.
So you think it's nothing to do with the device not being able to stream quick enough? When i click on the headset icon on the top status bar, it reads "Streaming... (195 KB/s)"
I've even tried it on a 'clean' JAM (i.e. no extra apps installed) and the problem is still there.
I've been using the same I-tech headset with my Dell Laptop (Widcomm stack) and that doesn't suffer from volume problem. But surprisingly the quality of sound from my JAM is far better :o
It is getting somewhat annoying now :x

@sh500, maybe you could try reducing the bit rate. I found when watching wmv encoded videos if i set the audio bit rate to 128 kbps 48Khz i wouldnt get any sound, so i used 44khz and sound was streamed fine. I hope to test myself when i get my headset back from an exchange.

Isn't it that only real bluetooth stereo headset can be used for the audio function? I mean headsets with the A2DP profile, not only headset or handsfree. The sound of "normal" headsets would be awful anyway.

Not exactly. Try to select a batch of files and send them from your PC or laptop without the FTP profile installed on your Magician and also without ActiveSync. Won't happen for you. Only one at a time.
This patch enables a Magician user to receive batches of files over BT from any device without the ActiveSync only by means of FTP profile.
It also lets me designate the received files folder anywhere on the device. In my case it's \Storage Card\My Documents\Bluetooth Exchange Folder . And, yes, I also have no need to confirm every file I receive.
So, for me, this patch (I wouldn't call it a BT STACK) is a godsend. This is just for the FTP alone. Will look into buying a stereo BT headset now...

You can browse the device via bluetooth like you can with ActiveSync installed, but it only works for me when using the default \My Documents folder. When I'm trying to change it to the root folder "\", there's an error message coming up. "\\" is accepted but the FTP service won't show me any files then.
Did anyone succeed to browse files in top of My Documents?

Of course, you can't. Guys, in order to use A2DP (that's what Audio tab is all about and, specifically, the "Default headset' drop-down menu and "Stream audio to headset" checkbox) you have to have a headset that supports A2DP. All plain, non-stereo (mono :D ) BT headsets do not show up int he drop-down menu because they are not meant to receive audio streams over BT, they are speech only. The profiles they have are usually Headset and Handsfree, not A2DP.
Hope I made myself clear, at least I tried...

It should work. The only thing is - you have to create the folder first in whatever file explorer you use and only then you choose it in your BT Settings. Did you do it like that? You have to be more specific about what steps you've done.

You made it, providing us with a solution we've all been waiting for. I have an excellent quality sound with a range of up to 3m with my HP headset (wow ! ! )
I have 2 drawbacks:
- Once installed, my device volume (not the phone volume), is permanently set on Off (bottom of cursor), whatever my headset status is (connected or not). I have had that issue with PocketZenPhone already (without the A2DP extension), I will check if it is a conflict ant let you now. Have you faced this too ?
- Other: My BT GPS is not recognized by TOMTOM 5 anymore. It is seen as a BT GPS, but nothing more. Seen this before ?

I did exactly what you said... and still the same... when I recieve a new file or photo, it's stored in \My Documents :(
here is what I did:
1. Created a new folder : \Sorage Card\My Documents\Bluetooth
2. Set the path in BT settings
3. sent a file from a nokia 7610
4. File received, and then I had to accept it.
5.File was stored in \My documents

Nokia phones uses different BT profile than the one our PPC use ( OBEX ) ... maybe this is the reason??

I think the root directory is only meant for the FTP service. When you browse your device via FTP from the PC, it is started in My Documents. I guess Obex is independent from that setting.
When I'm trying to change that directory to the root directory of my device (\) I get an error that it is not valid.
Did anyone succeed in browsing the root directory of his magician via the new FTP service?

But it's not yet clear whether this patch adds A2DP, since all ppl say their headset is just paired as Headset-HS or Hands-Free Profile which IS NOT A2DP-SNK! Although audio is now being streamed to the headset does not mean it's got more than 3K bandwidth (high quality).
So you better stop harassing other ppl and start reading yourself!

..But it's not yet clear whether this patch adds A2DP..
Yeah, I'm not sure about this either, has it so far been the case that everyone who has got the audio working are using a A2DP enabled BT headset? Or does this not matter?
I'm using the Itech S35 Clip and if it's not using the A2DP profile then the quality of sound is extremely good. Also, the sound is in stereo- evidence of A2DP?
Either way, the only issue for me is the sound cutting out. A2DP or otherwise, I am happy with the sound itself.

ok I try to explain what's happening now...
I am guessing this stack is produced by innostar company cos it's A2DP
headset IH-02 works well without any music pauses.
My Moto HT 820 also works with this stack but the music pauses sometimes.
The streaming 195k may tells us the reason why there have pauses during playing mp3
Hope some one can make a patch for this problem. Without the pauses this BT stack is perfect!!!

HI!
i dont know whether this will help.
i have a HP iPAQ hx2700 (624MHz processor), and i am using a bluetooth stereo headphone (sonorix OBH-0110, you can check out the details here http://www.sonorix.com/eng/main.php) with it. initially, i have pauses from time to time with listening to mp3. ever since i installed XCPUScalar and make the processor speed go down to 312MHz, the pauses are gone. now i have smooth uninterrupted music streaming to my headphone via bluetooth.
remember reading somewhere that the processor is too fast to re-encode the mp3 to the bluetooth channel for streaming. which is why you will need to slow the processor down.
keep fingers cross.
btw, other than XCPUScalar, you can also use PocketHackMaster

Okay, I've tried it on my Magician in combination with my PC which has the Bluesoleil-stack and it works! I do have a few remarks and questions.
- at the beginning of every song my screen comes back on, I use WMP, so I have to disable it again. Not practical when your Magician is sitting in your pocket.
- at the beginning of every song the audio "stutters" for a few seconds, after that it plays fine. I don't have the audio buffer problem every 8 or 9 seconds.
- I couldn't test if AVRCP works, anyone?
So before I go shopping for a headset I suggest we make a list with working headsets and if AVRCP is working or not.

I did a little research and I think the following is going on. The stack is from a company called i.Tech who are developing a AD2P headset + drivers for the Magician. For more info see this thread:
http://www.ppcsg.com/lofiversion/index.php/t62992.html
I suspect the R35 they are talking about is this headset:
http://www.kjc-tech.com/blueband.htm
KJC and i.Tech are somewhat the same I guess, because many of the products on the KJC-site are the same as on the i.Tech-site
This headset is for sale on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.nl/Bluetooth-1-2-Stereo-Wireless-Headphone-A2DP-Headset-Bc_W0QQitemZ5832623515QQcategoryZ73842QQcmdZViewIt em
I'm going to sit it out till it's official but I'll be keeping an eye on it.

Dear all
I have downloaded Kevin's cab files, but I'm afraid I'm pretty brain dead when it comes to computers - what directory in the Magician/o2 mini should I transfer the cab files over to?
Thanks everyone!

You can copy the CAB file anywhere on the phone, once you've done that just click on it and wait for installation.
I advise you to do a full backup before hand.

Figured it out - thanks! But what are these posts that Henkes' been sending about the S35 clip or R35 clip from Itech not working? Can I go out and buy the S35 clip now?

I didn't have time to read that article in depth but I remember it saying something about a 'special' version of the BT Clips that will have [A2DP] firmware to work with the JAM- and 'normal' ones don't.
As you may have probably read, most people are experiencing sound cut out every 8-10 seconds. According to one of the reviewers of the newer products- he confirms that there is no problems with the sound cut out and it works with players other than just WMP.
So i suggest you wait for the newer BT Clips- unless someone can provide a fix to this problem.

To all who did a research:
This is actually a product by CSR (Cambridge Silicon Radio), that develops its BlueCore host software (BCHS). Look at the file name:
BCHS_FOR_POCKET_PC_OZONE.ARMV4.CAB
Also, strings like BCHS Cambridge Silicon Radio Ltd. and CSR can bee seen throughout the .cab file.
Look here: http://www.csr.com/development/bchs.htm. Its our stack right there. And it clearly lists A2DP at the bottom of the page.
So don't tell me again how to read the thread, OK?
So, maybe i.Tech or whoever may license the stack, but CSR manufactures BT chips and develops software for them. Cheers!

CSR only develops the bluetooth chips which can be used with the common stacks like Widcomm or Microsoft. As far as I know, the cambridge silicon chips are in almost all of the Bluetooth Dongles, headsets, PDAs etc.
Their software might be used as base on top of which for example the MS Stack links in (I would call this the driver). Their software can't be directly used on WM for example, since there is the user interface missing.
I wouldn't suspect them to develop extensions to the krippled MS stack. Only their chips just support A2DP on the basic layers.

all of this is absolutely fabulous news. spiffing. i've followed the thread from the beginning and two questions remain.
the first concerns stereo headthings in general: my research has revealed a variety of models. now the question is, can i actually use them to make phone calls, ie is there a usable microphone integrated, to use like a conventional headset and talk away without pulling out the phone.
- I-Tech BlueBAND Bluetooth Stereo Headphones (a user states he used it to talk over the phone - can anyone confirm)
- HP iPAQ Bluetooth Stereo Headset (don't think this has mic, since made for non-phone pocket pc - am i right?)
- Anycom Bluetooth Stereo Headset BSH-100 / Sonorix OBH-0110 (for once they specifically state it to have a detachable microphone)
- iTech Bluetooth Stereo Headset Clip (i suppose the clip is the mic?)
- Motorola HT-820 Bluetooth Stereo Headset (says supports headset profile - does this mean it has an integrated mic?)
the second question concerns this "BlueCore Host Software" in particular. on the page found by heretic, it says at the bottom that the headset profile is not supported. so this basically means that switching between music and phone calls isn't a simple thing after all. or does the default MS headset profile take over without problem. could the people who've successfully used the audio streaming comment on this?
bit of a long post

I confirm that it works with iTech Bluetooth Stereo Headset Clip S and O2 Mini.
It has 2 bugs at least when listening music (WMP).
1. Dropping every 10s to 15s; and
2. First 7s to 8s no sound.
Good things are:
1. Can listen to music;
2. Strong reception even longer than 3 metres....
COOL!!! I want it to work on my EXEC..........

Can anyone confirm that the PAN profile exists (or works) using the MS BT stack when this patch has been installed?

Not really. The BCHS is a complete Bluetooth Stack. The UI is, of course, not a part of the stack, so someone added this on top of what CSR provided (might be CSR themselves, might be some 3rd party software company). BCHS is completely independent of the MS stack.
Yes, CSR is best known for the chips, but they do also make a stack. :) I know, because we have the BCHS here in the company (a mobile phone operating software development firm). :)

So who will be the first to test it with A2DP headphones?
I'm sure most A2DP headphones should work with this. I've got it working with my I-Tech S35 Clip.
I tested with A2DP motorola HT820 and it works but music pauses periodically....
A bit late on this, but I'd like to confirm that this works great with my iTech BlueBand. Just shifted my primary SIM from my Motorola A1000 back to my JAM - its now my default media player!
PS: Somebody asks if the ITECH Blueband can be used to speak over the phone, and the answer is YES. I've been using it for that purpose BEFORE this bluetooth stack arrived.
And YES I've received calls in the midst of an audio streaming session and it switches to normal headphone profile. The new green-coloured (while streaming) "Stereo" bluetooth headphone icon changes to the standard white "Bluetooth Handsfree" icon too.
Phenomenal!

Finally solved, only had to reboot device and reinstall GPS.

I sold my XDA II some time ago, and changed to MDA III. And sold the MDA III later, now have a Dopod900. Ha, I also want to have BT stereo on my Dopod900, but someone said it didn't work. So, need to wait for new driver.

Don't know if this might help your stutter problem. it worked for a wired headset or speaker on my Magician. Cann't test it since I don't use my magician any more, it's up for sale, but perhaps it helps with your bluetooth stutter problem as well. Hi Everyone
After checking out your comments and installing Kevin's stack/patch, I went out and got the I-tech Clip s35. The handsfree function worked fine (as it's supposed to, but when you turn on the Audio Bluetooth streaming in the options menu, the connection fails every time.
I heard those of you who have an I-tech clip s35 have had no problems with the connections.....can you help me out with this? If I can't get the o2 mini to stream mp3's, it's gonna be the biggest waste of US$80 I've ever spent in my life!
There shouldn't be any difference between the clip s35 and clip s either, for those of you who succeeded with the clip s.
Any pointers would be really helpful!

I know you guys managed to get the streaming to work on your magicians/o2 mini's. Can you help me out with getting me paired up?
As I said in my earlier email, the problem is not pairing, it's streaming. After I download Kevin's patch, the additional options menu became available, and I checked off on the "Stream audio to headset" box. That should mean when I play MP3's on Windows Media Player, the music should be blasting through my earphones, but instead, I get a message from the bluetooth handsfree icon saying that "connection failed"
Really hoping you guys have a solution for me...........
Keith

I back w/ Chatty. I read from the beginning and I am still confusing whether it truely support A2DP WITHOUT problem. Here are my understanding so far:
1. People w/ I-Clip S35 can receive the stereo BUT there is a dropping problem
2. ldonnay with an HP headset work too. ldonnay, can you confirm if U have any issue (eg: dropping) w/ yr headset? Any what model is yr headset?
Any other people can post different result (please stated if there is any issue) w/ the model of A2DP headset?
ok I try to explain what's happening now...

It really does support A2DP but there are some strange things though. I have several mp3 ringtones, which last less than 30 seconds, playing those files in WMP10 will not trigger the connection with the headset. Maybe related to bitrate, maybe file length...haven't really found out why.
The other goodies...well, further testing required but still, GREAT discovery!

I think this is due to the bitrate rather than the length- all my tracks are normally 128 Kbs or above- which all work fine with BT. So i tried some at 50 Kbs and it doesn't initiate the connection.

Thanks for the hint - you are absolutely right, it was the ROM version. I'm guessing the rest of the users on this board are so advanced that they had all upgraded their ROM to 1.13, which is why this problem wasn't picked up.

No cut outs on the sound. I think when you play the files a little longer, you'll notice that the Bluetooth gets "smart". Initially, my clip s35 went dead and I thought it was battery problem, but it turns out it wasn't accustomed to skipping tracks. If you charge the device up to full, I think the cut outs will disappear altogether. Mind you, I'm only giving this commentary after listening to 7 songs consecutively.........

I downloaded this cab when the download hit was at about 30 and have been using it since then but still get the sound cut out problem. That's with playing about 35 tracks consecutively!

Hi SH500
No, I test drove it through Avril Lavigne and Blur's albums last night without cut out, and if I listened to any more music, my ears would have have overloaded! What can I tell you?
You might want to upgrade your ROM to T-Mobile's 1.13. It might correct the problem you're experiencing.

Hi Sh500
No cut outs on the sound. I think when you play the files a little longer, you'll notice that the Bluetooth gets "smart". Initially, my clip s35 went dead and I thought it was battery problem, but it turns out it wasn't accustomed to skipping tracks. If you charge the device up to full, I think the cut outs will disappear altogether. Mind you, I'm only giving this commentary after listening to 7 songs consecutively.........

This blue tooth stack does support AVRCP function. I have two bluetooth headsets, the hp one, same as the one you have, and one no brand one, you can see it here:
http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=BT-MINI-HS&cpc=SCH&srm=0
The hp one has the same problem as yours. But the no brand one works perfectly, all control buttons works as it suppost to. Vol up, vol down, next track, previous track, stop, play, pause and the best it also support phone function plus it is in "cool" ipod white and look. I think this bluetooth stack was decided for certain brand of headset, I might be the lucky guy who purchased the correct brand of headset that works. :D

Hi all,
I found the a regkey in "hkey_local_machine/software/csr/modules/av/bitrate = 194" that can be edited to use higher bitrates. After some trial and error I found that anything above 300 gives high distortion, probably becouse of lacking processing power. I currently have it running on 256 and its a mayor quality improvement over the 194 that is default. Maybe when overclocking we could get better rates even... :D

In the manual (stored in the windows folder) there are voices of a possible bluetooth manager. I've searched but nothing. Where it could be? It seems to implement an ftp browser in file explorer: is that true?
Why now the images have the approppriate bluetooth sending option and all of the other files no?

It is for all versions of the Magician...
Don't bother with the ROM upgrade, unless you were planning on doing one anyway.
Install the stack/patch and see if it first works with your BT headset. If you hear sound then you're half way there (!) If you get any cut out in the sound, install Pocket HackMaster and then you're all the way there.
P.S. Thanks to 'choochor' who made the suggestion of using a CPU modifier to stop the sound cut out.

Hi all,
I have a problem while redirecting audio stream to my headset. I have Motorola HS810. The following steps were done:
1. Hard reset
2. Installation of BT stack
3. BT\Devices\New...
4. My headset was found, Next
5. Question like this "Serial port profile was found in a device. Do you want to add a new COM port". Answered No.
6. Yes to request for setting a device as a hands-free.
7. Went to Audio. There are no choices in Default headset combobox :(
What was done incorrectly? Is there a possibility that the reason is in headset itself?

Hi everyone,
First of all thanks to kevinyang6688 for providing us nice solusion, i've been waiting for these long time.
I downloaded the cab and installed it on my o2 xda mini last night, audio streaming and headset work fine, but there's slight problem, when playing mp3 files with windows media player on storage card i got that cut-off sound but when playing on phone storage it works smooth without cut-off problem.
I will try changing some registry setting as posted before.
Or perhaps my mmc card not fast enough?
Bluetooth audio streaming only work with windows media player though.

I think that Motorola HS810 doesn't support A2DP profile, so you can't use it to listen music in good quality (which is what Aufio tab and A2DP needed for), but you still can use it as normal headset. You don't need Audio tab to do that

lo, I've made a questions, people. Nobody can give me any clue on this? I can't get ftp by my pc. Any clue to do this? Is it implemented with this install?
Why my bluetooth is changing transfer speed from phone to phone? How can I control the real bluetooth bandwith?
There was once a ctl panel called COM ports in my bth settings tab. It magically disappeared. What can I do to return it back?
My objective is to have a bluetooth device compatible with all phones and computers, with constant speed - preferably fast (I think it's getting 10 kb per sec but im not sure.
Also is there any software to help sending and receive files? The integrated one in windows is really flaky at best...
Lemme know of anything new about ftp and others... And so an offtopic question (but relative to connections): IRDA is slow, slow, slooooooow... Searched and found nothing. I know that nobody is using IRDA but I need it. Some clue even for it?

My no branded A2DP headset (http://www.meritline.com/bluetooth-usb-mini-stereo-headset.html) just arrived and here are summaries on my Imate Jam
1. There's a very little delay when playing a new track.
2. No periodic skipping, but sometime (not often) it does skip.
3. Sound are good
4. The controls on the headset is working
But here are the problems that force me not to use it.
1. TCMP player not working. Only support WMP that I hated it so much.
2. Only support MP3, audio of WMV don't go thru
3. Cannot have both BT GPS and the headset running at the same time.

I purchased the following i-tech units in Hong Kong and they all work perfectly with this driver:
Blueband (around USD36) - stereo headphone, with adjustible pitch-arm behind the neck, virtually no "wire"
Clip S (around USD34.5) - stereo headset, one ear-piece is detachable
- bought two units, one black, one greyish blue
Clip S35 (around USD46) - stereo headset, ear-pieces can be replaced by any with 3.5mm jack - bought two units, both black
The intermittent cut-off problem can be easily overcome by installing Pocket Hack Master. There is even no need to change the CPU speed.

I think we are now all aware of resolving the most annoying issue of skipping with using this patch...
Now I'm just wondering if anyone knows why exactly this patch only streams the audio via WMP and not any other music player?
Surely this can bed changed somehow (I say that very loosely!)?
Just looking for an explanation not necessarily a solution (well all the better if there is one!).

I tried it excessively on my dopod 838 with a itech clip s. Installs ok. Also all options are available and the headset gets recognized. But highQ sound doesnt come through at any time. Headset signals error when trying to connect 'streaming audio'. Also the speaker sound of the device was gone. This stack can be deinstalled easily here.
Since dopod 838 is basically the same like k-jam, or mda pro it would be nice to hear if someone got it working on these.

also tried the stack, however i am using the 1.12 radio rom, so no luck using the laptop as "audio gateway". This would be great for a future media centre. Currently trying some stuff with a belkin BT usb. This usb should provide most of the BT profiles/services to my laptop.
however: how can i use the BT PAN profile? I can setup the laptop as a gateway, but i found no option to connect the mda. (probably need a "BT network card" option).
for file-transfer it now uses the PIM profile(personal information manager?)....how can i use the ftp profile?

Hi!
I have a Qtek s100 and a Plantronics Pulsar P590 bluetooth headset.
1. I downloaded the BCHS_FOR_POCKET_PC_OZONE[1].ARMV4.CAB from this thread (log in -> First post) to my computer.
2. I delete my 590Plantronics as a device from my Qtek (Start - Settings - Connections - Bluetooth - Devices --> hold down pen on "590Planctronics" and choose "Delete")
3. I copy the BCHS_FOR_POCKET_PC_OZONE[1].ARMV4.CAB to my Qtek
4. On my Qtek I click on BCHS_FOR_POCKET_PC_OZONE[1].ARMV4.CAB (then it install it self)
5. I get a "old version"-varning, click OK
6. Reset the Qtek (push with pen in the little hole to the right of the head phone connector).
7. Got to Start - Settings - Connections - Bluetooth - Devices and add a new device and connect to the P590
8. Set it as Hands-free
9. Go to Start - Settings - Connections - Bluetooth - Audio and choose 590Plantronics as "Default headset". Check "Stream audio to headset" and "Automute".
10. Go to Start - Programs - Windows Media and play some music. Then try to call your s100.
All work nice ;-)
Thanks kevinyang6688 !!!
EDIT:
Have tested some -> If you use WindowsMedia - Menu - Library then all buttons on headset works (next, prev title, volyme, answer call, mute). Only thing that don't work is using the Start - Settings - Personal - Password to lock the screen while lissening to music. I will try to find some "lock the screen" software to my Qtek s100 to solve this (will not post THAT progress here  ). Over and out...

It is not necessarily the case that you need a particular ROM for this stack to work. I upgraded to 1.13 and it worked fine on there- but had to go back to 1.12 because there were other, non-related things not working to my liking.
For sound cut, try Pocket Hack Master. For no sound at all, you could try different radio ROMs I suppose.

Nice feature at the moment: Mediaplayer supports Bluetooth audio but TCPMP not. So your are able to listen to MP3 Music via Bluetooth and your Girl watch a film vie TCPMP Player over the built in speakers!! Thats real multitasking!!!
Any other DIVX Player which i can try?????

A big thank you.
On My MDA compact this works a dream. All that extra bluetooth s/w. Bluetooth as it should be.
Typing this with music streaming from my MDA compact with Radio 1.12 and latest T-mobiles updates from their site.
no hacks, no warranty voided, no flashing.
to get it to work I deleted existing headset, then re added, enabled streaming in last bluetooth menu .
If I enable hands free at same time, does not work, but I can live without that in favour of music. seems only streaming ( I use mp3 320K) or hands free not both.
Typed all this no drops at all.
A donation coming on.
Any one know of similar for MDA PRO??????
Once again a big big Thank you.
Was worried my phones would be 60 quid of money wasted.

I reset/rebooted my MDA compact b4 deleting and re adding.
No other problems.
Used this morning on the train non stop for an hour, no drops.
Excellent quality with moto HT 820.
My only niggle , is the intro seems muted, quiet for first few seconds.
Seems the gaps between songs cause a mute, then a slow increase in volume to the desired listening level for each song. So the intro of each song is feint for a few seconds. Can live with that.
It would be so nice if T-mobile UK released radio 1.13 and this bluetooth stack for the compact. Would sure make an IPOD beater. No pulling out the phones or missing calls.
Come on T-mobile, someone took the effort to develop it, it adds functionality and makes the device more sellable. Improves consumer satisfaction. No brainer.
How soon before we see home hi-fi supporting A2dP, stream to a hi fi.

New Bluetooth stack has nice features. However my main problem could not be solved yet. I have a xda mini and a EMTAC Wireless GPS Mouse (SIRF II). The only Navigation Software that worked was TomTom 3 with the updated GPS Plugin from tomtoms support page. If I want to use FALK Navigator 2 the automatic GPS detection does not work probably. Shitti O2 support answerd me, that the manual BT settings for COM 4 does have no effect. I also tryied the GPSGate to transfer the GPS data to a virtual port but where to take from COM6 does not send any information. Does anyone have an idea how to set the com ports for my xda mini ?
Many thanks for your reply.

Make sure both incoming and outgoing are checked under Setting > System > BT setting

To install the program bluetooth for stereo, i just have to install the cab file on the phone and run it ? That's all ? nothing else so much complicated to do ?

Hi All,
I'm also disappointed. SSA or another dial-up service is necessary for me together with new FTP ability.
One more question: After installing CAB the new brown icon appears in the upper bar (Audio Enable). But notification icon (misses calls etc.) is fully covered by the new audio icon and it is impossible to see notifications.
Any ideas?

:( I have this patch working on my Imate Jam and have read all the posts. I finally bought the itech blueband headset with the A2DP profile. After pairing it tonight with my Jam, I, like many who have written before in these posts, have not been able to see my headset listed in the audio tab default drop down list. Every time I try to play a .wma file in WMP, it tries to connect (turns the icon green) than tells me it fails to connect. I deleted the pairing and paired my Jam and Headset again with no luck. I would love to at least play music through my new headset, but I can't figure it out! I don't know if I need to upgrade my rom - I have the 1.06 rom using the BT Patch for the Jam with the bigstorage update. Can anyone please direct me on what I should do to make it work! Thanks a lot! :)
BTW - why doesn't MS just make everyone happy and add the headset profile on an update so everyone can use their device as they want to?

I was using my old Jabra 110 plug to charge it up, but it is not working right. The internal battery is not holding a charge. I have searched and searched the internet for a simple charger that works with the Itech Blueband. They do not list the specifications in the manual, so does anyone know where I can get a working replacement? Maybe Radioshack or Best Buy sells them? Please help!!!!

I also bought my [second] Itech Clip from eBay (nephew broke the first one). The first was a 'standard' clip (no A2DP support), but it was a retail version, which came with a wall charger.
My second one, as stated on the eBay advert, was, like yours in a sealed box but it only came with an adapter (I was aware of this before buying). But I can still use my charger from my first Clip.
Anyway if you have the same adapter as I do, it will charge correctly with any standard Nokia charger- this is by design - my Itech box says the following: Itech Clip S for Nokia 6680 Smartphone ONLY- Not for sale. Presumably this is just meant to be sold as a bundled package- much like yours I think.

Dear all,
I went through all the posts in this topic, but I found that it is difficult to understand. Could someone do us a favour to summarise it?
1. What program / software are necessary to install to prevent dropping of sound? Pocket Hack Master (PHM)? Rom 1.13.00? BT patch registry?
2. Any setting in PHM should be modified?
3. How to install the BT patch registry?
Looking forward your replies.

sound gone for good from the phone...going in for a hard reset now..
bad news..please dont try..
.........
i saw the volume button and the slider is down to zero...pushed itup and what...its coming back to 0....tried as suggest somewhere to remove the tick from streaming audio...but nothing.. screwed up my audio..hope not for good...as this has gone and entered in the windows stack now...
will update here again post the hard reset...sad story
HI, MAN DO NOT HARD REST YOUR DEVICE.
YOU CAN GO TO THE BT SETTING, FIND AUDIO AND UNMARK STREAM AUDIO TO HEADSET BOX, SOUND WILL COME BACK AGAIN.
HOPE IT WORK FOR YOU.
Me too on my O2 Exec........I think it's not working on a WM5 device.....
I removed the cab file from remove program list and everything is ok thereafter...except I still find the audio (others e.g. printer, security, etc. are gone) tab left....but it just doesn't work with my audio headset, so I confirm that it doesn't work with WM5 yet....
Though I want to a hard reset anyway but it seems that I don't have to..........
Tested it on my MDA Pro and in first look it makes no real problems. But after softreset i am losing audio. But the Stream audio to headset option is disabled. Have done a uninstall on the packet and a final softreset.
All is normal now. Seems not to work on Universal i think we have to wait for the MS implementation in the next Release Upgrade of WM5.0.

For your info:
Just installed this set of drivers, but looks like there is no PAN-protocol (personal area network file-transfer) possible.

With this O2 MINI NEW BLUETOOTH STOCK it is not possible.

Installed on my O2 XDA II mini, ROM and Radio version 1.11 (the official version from www.seeo2.com - ancient as one poster noted). Headset is Motorola HT820. Originally couldn't get streaming music to work, but only required a software reset. Volume and forward/back controls work.
It gives a message about reconnecting to the headset when switching between songs, but I haven't experienced any sound dropouts at all like others have reported. I do not have any CPU speed modifying software installed.
Music pauses when a call comes in (or I make one outgoing) and the profile switches to handsfree. Some people have asked about whether the HT820 has a mic - yes it does, though it's not obvious. When the call completes, the profile switches back to headset and music resumes (with a maybe a couple of seconds of stuttering).
The HT820 headset is comfortable (to start with) and stays on well. I don't like earbuds and this suits me fine. However, after wearing them for an extended period of time the part that goes above your ear started to hurt. Maybe I'll get used to it, or maybe they aren't designed to be worn for long periods.
I've just noticed that tapping on the headset icon now reports "Streaming ... 195KB/s" - it wasn't doing that earlier.
When I switch the headset off (e.g. to charge) and switch them back on, it takes a little bit for them to be recognised. I switched bluetooth off and on again and it then found them OK - didn't need to go through pairing again.
Anyway, just wanted to report that it all works pretty well - quality is excellent, and I didn't need to violate my warranty or slow my CPU.
I wonder if the regular glitches that many people are reporting are actually related to the use of a more recent ROM version, as most people posting seem to be using 1.12 or 1.13. Just a thought. Anyway, if I do upgrade my ROM and find that it introduces a problem, I will certainly try the remedies that have been suggested and so many people have found to work.
