When activesync is connected my (PC) windows start blinking

Hi i'm having a great problem with activesync (both 4.1 and 3.8 ) since yesterday. When i connect my magician to pc (either through usb or bluetooth) every application in my windows pc starts cycling from focused to unfocused. I explain, suppose i have Word open and i'm writing a document, well, after connecting my ppc to pc, Word's window starts loosing focus and regaining it every 2 seconds (about). This way is almost impossible to continue writing since every time the window loose its focus i loose all the characters i wrote while it was unfocused (since Word doesn't recognise my keypresses while it's not focused). My english is not so good but i hope you'll understand what i wrote, for better understanding see the following example:

This happens not only with Word but with every other opened window.
If i disconnect my ppc then everything is ok.

Yesterday was the first time i had this problem, i was using activesync 4.1. This morning i tried uninstalling it and putting back old 3.8 but the problem is still there. I've also hard resetted my ppc. Next logical step would be formatting the PC but i hope some of you have a better suggestion :)

I found what's causing such a weird behaviour: it's the OUTLOOK.exe process. If i kill it (using CTRL-ALT-DEL) all is ok and i'm still connected to my ppc.

But i can't imagine what's wrong with my outlook; i've just reistalled the complete office suite (and updated to sp2) but the problem is still there, maybe there's another active program that conflicts with it.

Anyway, at least i'm now able to use my pc when connected with ppc!
