I've been looking for an external antenna for my KJAM. No luck. Anybody know of one?
Failing that, does anyone know the specifications for it? i.e. diameter, length, etc?
Wilson electronics will make one if I get the specs.
Thanks.
There is one to order at http://www.brodit.com/?lang=E, here is a picture:

Search for Qtek 9100 (same thing as HTC wizard / Kjam)
In US their products are sold by http://www.proclipusa.com/ but they donīt seem to have this cord?!

This works great for me and also works on the PDA2K and it is a Wilson product :)

Thanks for the reply :)
I've already emailed Brodit on that and the Kjam/Qtek active holders. They aren't available yet.

Marka2k:
Are you saying the antenna adapters are the same for the PDA2K and the Kjam/Wizard? Do you know this for a fact or did someone tell you this? I don't want to throw any more money away :)
I've already got some Wilson stuff, they make great products.
Thanks

You can buy all of the antenna pieces at www.primecellular.com , I highly recommend them...they actually have (dare I say it?) INTEGRITY!
I put 'em to the test and they passed.
I have ordered the Wizard (KJAM) cradle from www.proclipusa.com, as well as one for my Wife's Razr and dash mounts for both. I also ordered another trucker antenna, I already have one for my laptop aircard, and adapter for the KJAM from proclip.
Thanks for all your knowledge and help.

Mark: Thanks for the info. I bought that adapter and it is the correct one.
As an aside, the difference with an external antenna is amazing. At my house I get zero signal, unless I stand at the edge of the road, twist my lower torso to the south, my upper torso to the west, and touch my nose with my tongue..then I get one bar. :)
Now, I get 4 or 5 bars in the house, sitting in front of the tv.

Sorry about my stupid question but external antenna enhances wifi's signal or phone's range?

Phone range making/recieving calls nothing else.

All the links above are to a cable for connecting to an antenna.
What antenna did you use with the cable?

Depends on what you're carrier uses for Frequency, here in the USA we have 850 and 1900. 1900 is used most where I am so I got a glass mount 1900mhz antennae

Do you guys recommend any particular antenna from the primecellular website? Cingular in USA, dual band. Was thinking of this one:

Actually, that's where I got my stuff at. They have very good customer service and I rec'd my order quickly without errors or damages.
On my last order, this is what I ordered...
1 301101 Dual-Band Trucker Antenna $37.00
1 359909 Multi-Manufacturer Cell Phone Adapter $9.00
1 901104 3-Way Mount for Trucker Antenna $10.00
I got the number off of the wilsonelectronics website to be sure I ordered the correct items.

Just a follow up on that antenna. Got it and set it up. Kinda useless for indoor use. So I mounted it to the gutter outside my window and it works great. I get a steady, non-flucuating 4 bars whereas before it would bounce from from 1-2 sometimes 3 once in a awhile.
Anybody have any feedback on passive repeaters?

Are these antennas recommended for cars and if so, can they extend the range/continuity of EDGE connections?
I bought a 'Micro 718 Transceptor Detachable Antenna' for these people in the UK.
http://www.g-com.co.uk
Good prices and ship worldwide.
I got it for my office where the signal is weak and it works fine.
Haven't tried it in the car yet as I haven't needed to.

Ended up getting the same one. Just waiting for it to arrive now. Can you maybe submit a pic of it connected to see what it looks like and the size of it..? I ordered it last week but forgot to order the adapter. The guys at the website were nice enough to email me and ask if I needed one ordered or if I had my own...which I don't so that was pretty kewl of 'em.
I received my Wilson Panel Antenna today from PrimeCellular.

It arrived two days after I ordered it, even though it came UPS Ground. I ordered from them because of the good things itsmewhoelse had to say about them. Thanks for the tip! I have to say they were just as knowledgeable, friendly and focused on my solution as anyone I've done business with. I bought the 20' cable, so my total package was $99.60 with shipping. The antenna is working well, and is a cheap investment that will allow me to work from home effectively on those days when I can.
