Since there is no demo version for PZP, I would like to ask did any one tried both these software (PZP and PHoneAlarm). IF so what is the difference other than the price and which is better.
I am planning to buy either of them, I would like you all to help me decide.

Thanks,
Riaz

Tried the demo of PA, I think it tries to do too many things. I wouldn't say it was unstable, but I definitely noticed more strange things happening. Sometimes programs make things more fiddly and I considered PA to do just that.

Bought PZP pretty much on blind faith given the comments of others (not to mention the number of people involved with the PZP post!!) and I don't wish I'd kept my dosh in my pocket. It doesn't try to do too much, it simply helps you create profiles for different scenarios and leaves it at that. There's a few other bits n bobs such as the Outlook profile integration or the timer switching but I don't use those - two taps is enough for me.

If I were you I'd buy PZP. You get better support, a better program and you won't experience half the number of lockups on your phone that I did with PA. PZP worked beautifully on my XDA2 (didn't have it on my XDA), 2i and now the Exec...though the VGA icons could do with a spruce

@Zendrui - I'll take cash for this advert!!

Ok ok...well that s a matter of point of view...

As far as I am concerned, I am now using PA since almost 6 months...

There are some functions that are buggy at the moment, but you can disactive them and only keep the ones you REALLY need. But Bruce (developper) is going to release the brand new version (1.30) on 23 december, and as he said...it now will be TOTALLY stable.

So...a good advice for you would be to wait until this date, try out the new version on your device, and then...make your decision! =)

Well for the support, I can t say if it s better or not, but I do know that Bruce is giving a wonderful support on the phonealarm s forums. And I am not sure that anybody could do really better.
Same thing, I don t think PZP is a BETTER software....It s really simple, and only change profiles. With PA, you can use it the easy way (profile switching and alerts on sms/voicemail/missed call...), but you can also configure A LOT of other things (some of them are really useful like "vibrate on connection" when you call someone...).

So wait for the 23 december and get your favorite one!

see you
