How can I stop Active Sync from always turning-on even when it is not connected to my PC?
I notice Active Sync always appears on the Running Programs in memory settings, so I always have to stop or close the file manually.

the way i did it is to Go to menu->add server source->write down any server address (fake)->complete procedure
then menu->schedule->switch to manual. Close activesync, reopen and delete server. Apparently this turns the scheduling (which is initially greyed out) to manual.
Hope it works for u2

Thanks apap for the quick response.
I followed your instructions. The longest option I saw was 4 hours, better than every 10 minutes, thus saving me some more time on my battery. I noticed that This quickly drains the battery if left to turn on every 10 minutes. Unless you have found a hidden option to manually turn it on even longer than 4 hours, did you?

the dropdown menus have a "Manually" item, but it is well hidden. You need to scroll up, not down.
