You're out of luck.
Qualcomm, the maker of 3G chips as used in UMTS and EVDO/1xRTT doesn't support circuit-switch data connections (where you dial a number). This means NO gadget that uses their chip's can use fax or data software.

Thank you!
Do you know in which PDA can I use both phone and fax?

In phone settings "Band" you have to choose "GSM" to make CSD connections work. Perhaps fax connections will also be allowed then.

Did anybody succeed in sending fax through Jasjar? I regularly send faxes through Nokia Communicator 9500. My Data Fax service is enabled by my service provider. Will I be able to send faxes through Jasjar. Please narrate your actual ecperiences.

Can you pl elaborate? Does Jasjar use Qualcomm chips? Will faxing be possible on Jasjar if Data and Fax facility is enabled by my cell provider? Can I not GSM for faxes? Sorry for naive Q but what is UMTS? Presently I am regularly sending faxes from my Nokia 9500. Looking for a change.

Hi Manu,
As of now it is not possible to send the fax from Universal...but one can send the faxes from other PPC phones such as 2s/2i/XDA 2/o2 mini.
This is due to the differrences in the Port Configurations.
JASJAR Does use the Qualcomm Chip..
