I've only had the Exec for a week and I've had to secure the SD card a few times where it's been accidentally been clicked out. I've just tried to save a doc and noticed that it's missing!
What a crud design. Surely there should be a cover over the memory card slot?
I do love my Exec, but right now I could launch it out the window!!!
Sorry, just had to vent! :(
BTW, great forum. Loads of useful info for a new user. :)

Tis a bad design.
I suggest a little 3M ghost cellotape over the slot. Keeps it in, dust out, and doesn't look to cr*p (it's transparent)

Hey Vijay,
I think you're right. I'll do that, just as soon as I get my new card. At least I've got a good excuse to get a 2gb card now.

Guys, this might be a problem in need of a good solution either way. Just looked into my slot (!) and there's a lot of dust. Although the slot looks enclosed internally, we had big problems with SPV phones getting dusty through open slots in the old days...

I've absolutely no problems with my Qtek 9000, the SD-card is firmly fitted within the device.
When I want to remove it I have to press firmly and push it back at least 1,5 mm so I'm not afraid of losing it.
Maybe it is a problem with your device?

Or maybe this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Leather-Case-Belt-Clip-XDA-EXEC-I-mate-JASJAR-MDA-Pro_W0QQitemZ5840760310QQcategoryZ57253QQrdZ1QQcmd ZViewItem).
Just for my 1gb card protection and answering the phone like the xda2 ( without opening it).

Hye, don't get me wrong, I don't use this idea myself, because I switch SD and wireless (between my magician and universal).
But I think generally, a small rubber flap over the SD flap would have been a good design. I think the Orange models have this feature.

This happend to me days after I got mine. The problem is that the SD slot is on the bottom. You put it in a pocket that has something in it, coins keys postage stamps ;) , and it depresses the SD card. You pull it out your pocket not realizing and the SD card falls out.
