With the help of Beyond The Tech and me stopping from being a complete wazzock I beat my probs!
My Findings:
1. DON'T BE A CRETIN LIKE ME - Turn OFF Zone Alarm! I had added it to my ZA list of allowed progs but it still didn't Sync properly
This was a reason my initial ROM upgrade failed. Turn that sucker off!!
2. BOOTLOADER is NOT backlit - so the screen looks very much like it is off but you can just see it saying Serieal v.xx blah on it.
3. Be kind & poilte to peeps on the board & be patient - it will pay off in the end.
4. Pray to God.
A lot.
Peace out peeps, I am off to make some calls n stuff!
