HTC universal enable headphone hardware equalizer!!!??

Hi,
The audio chip in Htc Universal is AKM 4641vm (5 Band Equalizer !!!!).
Here is the specification from manufacturer:

The same chip is used in Ipaq HX4700 wich have enabled this features.
Here is the file ipaqaudio.exe from hx4700 rom. It works on htc universal but don't keep settings!!!!!

Any advice???

the results are "hearable" ... but .. it resets to default on next track or after responding a call or even using ssnap to dump the registry !!!!
