hi all i have been using the xda2 mini s for the past 2 weeks as i got one on a contract 2 weeks ago from o2 . anyway took the phone home took the o2 active stuff out of it and filled the phone up with spread sheets and all my contacts and lots of other things . the phone was to slow to use for what i can see . maybe it was all the stuff i had in the phone i am not sure . also the keyboard was starting to get a bit loose after 2 week down the line . so i thought today i have had enough of this crap phone its going back . so of i went with the phone boxed and everything as new back to the o2 shop to state to them it was slow and i have hard reset the phone about 3 times and that it was just not up to cutting the cream if u asked me . so the guy said no bother at all i will just give u another phone . and i said no i dont want another mini i want the xda2i to replace it . so he did and now i have something i can use and depend on . i said to the guy that my old p900 was faster than the mini he laughed . i dont care what he thinks i no for sure that the p900 was faster than the mini . any way i am happy i have the xda2i instead of the little unusable mini

just my 0.02 pence worth

I know what you mean, I had a Motorola A1000 which has the same Symbian UIQ OS as the P900 and it was a nippy blighter although the built in GPS was shoddy.
But overall the hardware side of things the processing power isnt a scratch on the mini or the 2i.
Due to Symbians nature of running a very small kernal and also stored on a lot less space makes it seem so much better.
The only problem I found with Symbian OS's is they're not(or wern't) majorly supported like WM03/05.
If you could re-compile a Symbian UIQ OS for the 2i that would be a beast of a device.

Disconnect from the net by holding down the red hard button on the bottom until it wines!

My old Xda IIi (i killed it a few days ago, cracked screen and completely dead when I woke up, don't know how it died overnight) never had a problem with memory cards... this one locks up sometimes if i have one in.

My advice is to either go for a number of SD cards (512Mb ish), the cheapest you can find, or go for a Kingstone 2Gb.
