Problem with MDA Vario, YES or NO?

Before 1 week I buy from England one MDA Vario, Now I live in Greece but I have one “problem”, I don’t know is this really problem?
Well when I open the telephone from power button, even if the hardware keyboard is closed, the screen plays between portrait and landscape!!! My question is, this is problem?
After open the hardware keyboard, and close this again, the screen return in the portrait place again. This problem does not always happen.
I want to ask, if somebody has seen this "problem" and if this is hardware problem or not?

don't worry, its because your using the included case which has some pretty strong magnets in it. When you remove the phone th magnets are causing the keyboard to switch.

Thanks, you have right, some times, but some others times this problem becomes when the phone is long time except from the case.
You have the same problem?

yea, just stopped using the case and stick it in my pocket now, got insurance so no worries
