View Full Version : terminal services over bluetooth

hey all. can anyone give me a clue on how to set up my pc and pda so that i am able to bring up a remote desktop on the pda. i have an alpine (xda2i) ide been playing about with it and got most other services working. i got something up asking me to enter a BT user name n passcode. can anyone sus this??? excuse my ignorance

ok, i got past all that now. i'm getting my xp login screen up but my pc logs off when i access it with the pda. i know i read something on here about a registry hack..... i wonder :roll:

could you please describe for others, how you've manage to get TS over BT working?

Buzz, I got TS to "work" over bluetooth in the normal way, activesync and then connect to the server.

However, in the same way, I also crashed out whilst trying to connect up.
I can login, but as it's filling in the "black blocks" it crashes.
I suggest disabling wallpaper etc on the server, and trying the registry hack to increase the block cache. I think you can find this in the wiki for the universal, but probably in other places as well.

yeah that seems to have worked a treat. set up an active sync over bluetooth then launch TS. only thing is my pc logs off to alow my pda on. have found a work around for it though. shall try it tomoz due to back ache at this bloody desk. go and read

its a work around for win xp sp2. i'll set to work on it tomoz if noone beats me to it.
