This is Bluesoleil drivers bug and cannot be fixed simply.
I just repack original CAB file and write switch utility.
You can add registry fixing gprs, but in this case you cannot Map Drives from WindowsXP PC using Resco Exolorer.

I have tried it be4 u updated the shortcut... and I had to hard-reset my JAM..
I'll give it another try tomorrow.
any way, my questions is... after the installation.. will I be able to send files from the file explorer.. not from the program it self??
I believe Resco FE is not meant to work with this stack, or Am I wrong?
thanks for your effort

Hey there... i experienced a problem, maybe it's fixable by so more into this topic than me. i installed Bluesoleil on 2 magicians. Both show the same BT address after installation leading to problems with my pan connection. both show 00:02:5B:00:A5:A5. I found a registry entry under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\BTNIC1\Parms\NetworkAddres s" but if i change it and reset, it returns to the value mentioned above.
any idea how to change the address permanently?

Hi,
Thanks for this, the Bluesoleil is pretty good. Question... it actually has icons for audio and headset profiles, but when I pair a stereo headset it finds no services. Is there any possible way to use this for stereo headset? Or is this a limitation of the "evaluation" version?
Thanks!

Bluesoleil Drivers do not support any audio or headset services on Magician.
Use this drivers for PAN, FTP and ActiveSync.
If you want to use headset profile, you must switch to Microsoft Drivers (using Bluetooth Switch utility).
Check for new release (bluesoleil_r2.arm.zip) - this is "retail" version (no evaluation).
For stereo headset try to install BCHS_FOR_POCKET_PC_OZONE.ARMV4.CAB (look for in forum...)

This is not a bug.
In general, if you see Microsoft bluetooth icon in tray, then no soft-reset required for switching (just power off/on), otherwise (or for the first switching) soft reset is required.

Ok I have a problem... since I installed the latest version, whenever I soft reset my magician it reboots about three or four times before it finally starts properly. The only thing that has changed is I installed this new version of BlueSoleil. Has anyone else experienced this? It could be something else on my machine but this is the only thing that has really changed to cause the problem.

Hi !
Do you have ROM Version 12 or 13?
Do you completly uninstall all previews installation of Bluesoleil drivers?
You should not do soft-rest manually!
If switch utility say that is going to make soft-resrt, and soft-resrt does not occur (automatically, after click 'OK' ), it means that you has incorrectly remov previews installation of Bluesoleil driver.
To fix THIS situation:
1) uninstall bluesoleil drivers (see reedme.txt !!!)
2) delete BTMUSB.dll from Windows folder and BlueSoleil.lnk from Windows\Sturtup folder.
3) Install again.

Hi,
I installed only BCHS_FOR_POCKET_PC_OZONE.ARMV4.CAB. It seems that rather good solution for audio applications. But it is known that dial-up service is missed. If I run BTModem, Dial-Up, Fax and HTC Serial port are present in My Bluetooth Places\Discover available services. But I can't understand how to use these services for example to GPRS connections from PC. I tried to create new Internet connection on PC using Bluetooth modem (COM9), tried direct connect by starting dial-up service in My Bluetooth Plases window. In any cases I received the same modem error (modem not cobbected).
Any ideas how to use new services?
Thanks

I installed the bluesoleil_r2[1].arm cab without incident. When I scan for bluetooth devices it finds my Belkin F8TO30 (bluetooth ap) and correctly pairs with it and indicates that it is a lan device. However when I double click on it it always replies with "0 services found". What is going on? Why does it not show LAN profile or PAN profile services? Please help.

I have a motorola bluetooth headset (H500) and just installed Bluesoleil,
is it in any way possible to use the "headset-profile" with bluesoleil?
When I search for devices, it finds my headset, but it says "0 services available on Motorola H500"
The headset seems to be paired, because it is in the screen with paired devices......

Hi there,
I've istalled the drivers properly and paired my mda with a bluetooth enabled
router/accespoint (for the dutch under you: Wanadoo Livebox). So it makes connection with the device, after it assigns an ip-adress, but it refuses to surf the internet (tested in ie and opera mini).
Do you have any solutions for this problem,
Thanks for your attention,

Ok, trying this bluesoleil stack took the afternoon. When I installed it, looked ok, but I found that I lost my GPRS configuration. I tried to connect through my laptop as a network gateway using a belkin bluetooth stick. Belkin supports PAN both as network gateway or client. But unfortunately I never succeeded in getting an IP on my magician. Sure, it did connect (also noticable on the laptop) but no network functionality. I tried manual configuration of the BT network adapter (on magician), no succes either.
So, I switched back to BCHS stack (uninstalled like in readme). If anyone configured PAN succesfully please give a description of how you did it....in stead of comments like: "hee man great bt-stack, installed it and it worked perfectly!
And what's the story on loosing gprs? any workaround?
Riel
12th March 2006, 11:45 PM
No. Just use bluesoleil when you need, switch to ms stack at normal use. GPRS Settings will be back fine then.
Since bluesoleil fucks with network cards it all get screwed a bit.

Greets.
I Have PAN working perfectly.
On your PC with the widcomm start the network service and choose to share the network connection.
Then, on PDA connect to PAN. if it does not work, try to put the IP manually by going to settings > connections > network cards > BT network adapter.
Et voilá :D

Are there any free registry editors available for download? I don't really want to have to pay to uninstall bluesoleil... :)
I don't really want to uninstall bluesoleil, but seeing as I can't use GPRS with it installed, I don't have much choice. That, and I never got PAN or anything working... I must just be rubbish!
Thanks,

BUG:
I use Push Manager, a push email client for my vodafone account.
It configures its own network settings for gprs.
When installed Blue Soleil, and starting a PAN game with another user, the device will hang.
Uninstalling Push Manager will do the trick. But I need that manager.

I finally manage to install bluesoleil stack on my t-mobile MDA compact (qteks100/i-mate jam). I do have Toshiba BT stack install on my vaio laptop and PAN is working perfectly. I could see and do everything with files on my laptop from my MDA. If you use ISC (Internet Sharing) of windows XP you can also surfe on the internet on your MDA using your PAN connection. If anybody has any questions in this regards I would be happy to answer. Now my question is related to the HEADSET profile of this stack. It seems like it that it's sort of disabled. I tryed with several different BT headset but you always see 0 service on Bluesoleil. Has anyone managed to do anything in this regard?

my experience:
assign the IP address and other settings by yourself in the setting of 'BT network adapter' (of your MDA):
1.IP address: 192.168.1.XX (XX depends on the setting of your livebox, in my case, the ip can be assigned from 192.168.1.10 to 192.168.1.50, you can choose anyone in this range, excluding the one has already been occupied by other equipment)
2.subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
3.default gateway: 192.168.1.1 (in my case, please check your live box setting)
4.main DNS: 192.168.1.1 (in my case, please check your live box setting).
5. restart your MDA and enjoy the internet via BT(probably your will start to complain the battery of your MDA and the speed of the bluetooth now)!
I hope it works (at least with my MDA compact and wanadoo livebox).

Quoting from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=858693&postcount=28) (but no solution found)
[..] i installed Bluesoleil on 2 magicians.
I have also the problem and tried to edit the registry keys - on startup of the app bluesoleil, the keys are set back to the default.
Also this keys is set back:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\IVT Corporation\BLUECE\LOCAL\Address"
Has anyone found a solution for the problem with the default BT MAC address 00:02:5B:00:A5:A5 ?

Bluesoleil drivers for HTC Magician and "Bluetooth Switch" utility.
You can install BlueSoleil drivers to use PAN-profile, FTP-profile and ActiveSync via bluetooth on you QTEK S100, S110, I-mate JAM and so on...
PAN-profile allows:
1) share folders from WindowsXP PC to PDA, and you can browse them using Resco Explorer.
2) stream audio and video (for example from Webcamera or TV-Tuner) from Windows XP PC to PDA (Using TCPMP on PDA and Windows Media Encoder on Windows XP)
3) use Remote Desktop to see WindowsXP screen on PDA screen and control you PC .
4) play multiplayer games (Snails, for example )
5) skype
6) and more...
See details and installation instructions in readme.txt (from attached zip-archive).
Requirements: HTC Magician with ROM Version 12 or 13.
After Install, use "Bluetooth Switch" utility (Start->Programs->Bluetooth Switch) to switch between Microsoft drivers and Bluesoleil Drivers.
You can install drivers BCHS_FOR_POCKET_PC_OZONE.ARMV4.CAB and switch between these drivers and Bluesoleil Drivers (using "Bluetooth Switch" utility)!
Whats new in release:
1) more simple install/uninstall process.
2) now you can choose installation directory (in main memory)
3) "Bluetooth Switch" utility has improved (in many cases soft reset not required).
4) No evaluation period!
WARNING!
Before install new release, you must uninstall previous release (see my post in this thread, how to do it)
