Hi...

I've the following problem:

Sometimes my mini gets all mixed up on battery life. Maybe after an allnight charge when I unplug it from the cable it will say 0% battery. After a soft reset everything will go back to normal. Sometimes it will show the battery at 67% for example and then a second after at 0% and the backup charging. Very strange behaviour.

I have spb 3.0 and that also shows me the battery "strangeness".

Anybody have an answer to this?

Thanks

Chebas

That souns very much like some kind of hardware problem. As far as I know the electronic circuits that check and measure the battery cells are included on the battery itself nowadays. You should open the battery bay, take out the battery and see if the contacts on the side of the battery need some attention. If they look dirty scrape them clean with a needle or small knife or something like this. Also, check if the contacts on the XDA-side are in good condition. The rest on springs and llow for some movement, check if they all move freely of if one is stuck or something.

I think this could solve your problem...

I just noticed that some characters are missing in my above posting. I have to admit that the keyboard on this laptop sucks the big ones. If someone is offended or confused by the mistakes produced here are some replacement characters to insert at your discretion: abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz.

I checked the battery pack and there wasn't anything weird or that shouldn't be there. What I find is that you can see the battery app that is in the settings menu and you can see the indicator change from 100% to 0 in a few seconds and back. It gets worse with an SD card, when I remove my sd card and soft reset it works better.

Any thoughs?

Thanks

sounds like a hardware issue or battery problem.

(1) Do a full backup of your device (use something like Sprite Backup)
(2) Do a hard reset of your device
(3) Install only SPB Plus to check battery indicator
(4) See if you get the same battery issue

If so, battery could be failing or is an hardware issue. Next step would be to get your hands on a new battery and see if the same thing happens.
