New o2 ROM - I have a problem

I backed up my device with the new beta version of Sprite then upgraded to the new O2 ROM. So far so good, but...

Now I can't get my Exec to surf the web on my home wireless network. Not problem, probably just a setting issue, so I tried to reload the backup to check I have the settings right, but after restoration is complete the device won't boot up - it just hangs on the O2 splashscreen. Any ideas why it's not booting up?

What you have done is the equivalent of taking a Windows 98 system and backing up the registry. Then loading Windows XP on it, and then restoring the Windows 98 registry to the Windows XP system.

IMHO your best bet is doing a Hard reset, and hoping this will restore the registry.
