MDA compact II german to english?

Hi all,

I just bought my German language mda compact II. I thought I was buying the old mda compact and I could change the language to english.
Is there any way to change it to English? I think I wouldn't even mind going back to windows mobile 2003 se either.

I downloaded the file but when I tried to install it it said it has a vendor problem. It is a german t-mobile phone. Could you help me how to get arount this problem? Now there is no ruu.conf file like in the case of mda compact.

Thanks. I tried MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe but that one doesn't work with the windows mobile 5. Where can I get ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe?

i have an XDAmini in german and I want to instal on it Windows 2003 SE in English. while trying to instal Win93 Se English on it, the instalation faliled with the language error.. The XDAmini is empty now.. Does this file ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID, work in this phase, when the XDA's ROM is empty ? I tryed to run this program, it starts, but I get the error that my device is not connected ..

I tryed to put back on the XDA's ROM Windows 2003 german version (i'm not shure it's the same version that was originaly on the XDA) but I still get the "Country ID" error ..

Please help me.. and tell me what to do :cry:

get to the phones bootloader and connect it up to usb, run the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe (ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID is for wizard and charmers) to remove the ID checking. go back to the bootloader and you should be able to install any magician rom package. you dont need an activesync connection for it to work, just be in bootloader with 'USB' in the corner once youve connected it.
