I know that are many posts regarding this subject (tomtom & GPS bluetooth connection...) but I'm a little bit confused and I don't know if it has to be or not with the new radio version (1.04.10) or with the TomTom (5.21)...

I upgraded my JASJAR to radio 1.04.10. For another reason I had to hard reset it and I seized the opportunity to reinstall al third party programs including the new TomTom 5.21.

FYI, I had the TomTom 5.10 installed with the radio 1.04.02 and I use the following post http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=28386 to get it working OK with the bluetooth GPS.

I thought that TomTom 5.21 was fully compatible with WM5 and the Jasjar, but following the installation I coulddn't find the way through the normal GPS config to get it working. I had to use again the old method (post http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=28386) to get it working OK.

Also I was unable to install it on the Storage SD Card.

Has anybody the same issue?

Thanks in advance. BetoX

PD: if that is discussed in another post, please let me know...

I thought that TomTom 5.21 was fully compatible with WM5 and the Jasjar...

A more accurate description would be "less buggy with WM5"!!!!! There are some aspects that have clearly not been programmed according to WM5 requirements!

Also I was unable to install it on the Storage SD Card.
That's TomTom's fault. The (supposedly) WM5 compatible v.5.21 only installs to main device memory. However, you can move the files/folders to SD-card and then create a new shortcut to launch it!

this also means that the GPS issue is STILL NOT fixed?

this also changes the todays plugin shortcut?

After you move the TomTom Navigator files (\Program Files\Navigator folder) to the SD card, you have to search the registry to change any reference to \Program Files\Navigator... to \Storage Card\Program Files\Navigator...

ok...my specks are as below and I installed 5.21 on to the sd card as normal.... no pros at all.... to get the bt gps (leadteck) to work was not so straight foroward and I had to make up a incoming I believe port for it....works with no probs....try uninstalling 5.21 again via activsync and reinstall again....

br, are you quite sure about this, I have allways used an outgoing port when configuring the GPS, my TTN 5,21 works fine with Exec, although I have only installed in the normal way - Mike
