Is this supposed to do anything?

If you have the "power off after..." option set, then you can switch it back on again with that button. Other than that, I'm not sure it has a purpose.
Cheers,
Steve.

Good question. Something i was to scared to ask. Because it does nothing for me.

I've got my Exec setup to switch off the screen backlight after a short delay when on battery. Pressing the lightbulb button switches the backlight on again.
If you don't set your exec to switch off the backlight, then I can see why this button won't be massively useful for you. :-)

Read the threads on how to assign apps to the lightbulb button, to make it useful.

.
Got that set - but the button doesn't do anything for me. I'll try the reg hack version that's in this thread and see if it then works.
