Updating radio only

Hi,

I own an O2 Xda IIi.
ROM: 1.11.00 WWE
Radio: 1.00.00
Protocol: 1337.39
EROM: 1.11.923 WWE

I plan to upgrade only the radio part to the latest version using the procedure and files described here.

Can anyone tell me please if the radio upgrade will generate/requires a hard reset? Can I simply update teh radion and go on as before without going through the backup-restore procedure?

you can download from here and please delete ms_.nbf and nk.nbf to upgrade only your radio ROM.... please backup before upgrading....... thanks

I've already read all the relevant threads (I hope) and d/l the files. My question is whether I will have a hard-reset cycle if I only upgrade the radio...
