View Full Version : PhoneAlarm doesn't display properly on Universal

Hello All,

I just downloaded PhoneAlarm 1.27 and i can't seem to resize it properly. It is only about a little more than an inch wide and the fonts dont seem to be aligned properly.

Is this normal?

Can someone show me a screen capture of their PhoneAlarm on the Universal?

I tried a few other skins but most of them are either very small or the fonts are misaligned

PhoneAlarm 1.3 which is going to be compatible with WM5 & VGA devices, was supposed to be due Jan 7th 2006. However, it seems now we can only get the new version mid-late Jan 2006.

PhoneAlarm 1.30 which is actually the version compatible with WM5, is out as Beta 1 today. I have been following and trying this out since Alpha-8. I highly recommend it.

The skin problem appearing too small on the Universal's VGA screen is also now resolved as the installer available for download has VGA compatible skin built in.

Under PhoneAlarm click the pa-support link

Finally click the link phonealarm V1.30 Beta1

Download the file installer.zip under the first mail on the above link

Thanks man for being VERY helpful.

One question before as i am presently gonna download it. Do the original themes work or do i have to get VGA themes for it to work properly?

If i have to, where do i get the VGA themes?

Once you have installed PhoneAlarm then in phonealarm settings go to the display tab. For the skins you will see a drop down list. Select any of the HGS6VGA skins. There a total of 3, namely HGS6VGA_min, HGS6VGA_max and HGS6VGA_min_L. All these are suitable for your device. Personally I prefer the HGS6VGA_min_L since this does not take a lot of my today screen space and is for landscape mode.
