Can someone please help to do over-the-air sync with Qtek 9100.
I have been trying for this a long time and never got it working.
Thank you,
Florian

Wi-Fi synching has been removed frm Activesynch 4.0 onwards by MS due to security concerns. That'll be why you can't get it to work.
If you want to synch using Bluetooth then search the forum as this has been discussed in length on several threads

Thank you for your prompt answer.
I was looking for internet sync thru Wifi or GPRS/Edge.
Is there another app out there that can do the job?

I believe some one has released a free patch to override the 'Wifi syncing in AS 4.0'. I don't have the file handy- but will try and post later if the original poster still wants it.
I've not tried it myself since I'm still using WM2003 and AS 3.8.
I would love the patch to enable WiFI active sync if someone could post it. cheers.

well, it seems to be a solution:

didn't try it by myself, so - no idea if it's usable and functional. but - always one more option ;-)
cheers,

Yes, that's the same link that I got the patch from.
Maybe someone can try it out and post back results?
Actually, just read the text from the link and it quotes the following:
"Please note that AirFix is not designed to allow ActiveSync over a WiFi connection. Rather, it is a tool that allows you to enable the wireless network after you are already synced with the PC (e.g. with a USB ActiveSync connection)."
Perhaps not what people were looking for after all...

I am currently trying to set up the app.
Expect a post shortly.

Did not find a way to make it work.
Also their download page states :
Please note that AirFix is not designed to allow ActiveSync over a WiFi connection.
As I doubt they have a solution...

You can sync over the air via GPRS or WiFi to an Exchange Server without a problem, I do it everyday; to a PC I don't now if it's possible anymore.

The Airfix app is designed to prevent active sync closing your current wifi conex, nothing more. This will allow software developers to debug network code and allow you to keep a wireless connection whilest you sync. Most home users will use activesync passthrough from their pc->internet rather than wifi-> internet and so notice no difference
