my xda 2i does recognize my sd card

hi guys,something odd happened to my phone.it suddenly didnt recognize the sd card.i suspect that maybe the sd card is broken coz this is the 2nd time it happened.i cant test my sd card right now to see if it is working coz i dont have a card reader with me.tried soft resetting the phone and still the storage card does not show up.can you help me?thanks :( :cry:

Sounds like its Dead what Card type is it?

yup its dead alright,tried using a friends nokia mmc card and it worked!its a kingston 256mbSD card.any card you can recommend coz it's the 2nd time it did that.is it recommended that i take out the memory card from the phone and replace it only when i need to view/save something in it?thanks again :shock:
