hi all after getting my new 2 gig card i have put lots of mp3s on my xda2i . all went well . one thing how come when i play my tunes in the phone i cant turn of the screen and lock the buttons . so when its in my pocket i dont hit buttons on the phone . it seems when i have media player open and turn the phone of my mp3 stoppes playing . is there any way round this . of am i missing something . so what i want to do is turn of the light on the phone and listen to my mp3s while its on my pocket and dont want to hit any buttons . how can i do thisa i have tried everything . please help cheers ppl

when you press the npower button, it puts the device into standby, which turns off everything except what is required to keep the phone running and to keep the ram powered. As such, it kills the sound codec and no doubt SD card, meaning no music.
Think of it like this, put your computer into standby while listening to music, it kills the audio output, signal to display, hdds etc. etc., same thing happens on these devices.

Solution to this? fraid i don't know, i just know why.

PHM Power Toys also offers a free, small program (called screensaver) to disable the display.

by this trick you will be able to continue listening your music :D
