WM5 ActiveSync Prevalence

Hi All,

I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere in the forum - but not for the lack of trying to find content on the subject. I have both the K-Jam (Wizard) & JasJar (Universal). I have the same problem on both devices; namely that ActiveSync always seems to pop up and is displayed as active in the Memory/MainMemory/Running Applications. Is there any way that this can be prevented? ActiveSync doesn't use that much memory - but it is a constant annoyance nonetheless. Any assistance will be appriciated. Thank you.

forumxda: presumably you mean on the PDA, not PC.
You can use various task killers to kill ActiveSync. There are more involevd ways to actually stop it popping up after it's closed, but once it's out of memory, it shouldn't bother you much.

I think I wrote an app to kill a task by caption, so you could probably use that to kill AS every so often if you want.

forumxda, all you have to do is enter some dummy exchange server information and set the sync frequency to manual. Should sort it.
